Appeal against deleted POI

I would like to request the restoration of POI in this area. POIs are fully legal. As a society we have no way to play without these POIs. It is a recreational area, important for the community, both for those who play the game and for those who spend their free time by the water.

The correct category for appeals to restore a Wayspot is Wayspot Appeals

What Wayspot is gone? Could it have just been relocated?

For your appeal, you will need to provide evidence that this Wayspot you would like returned meets criteria and exists where you say it does.

Density of game locations is not criteria. FWIW, it seems like you have plenty of Wayspots here:

Everything is visible on the orthophotomap. If necessary, I will send photos from this area tomorrow.

What Wayspot are you asking to be restored? You have not named it.

All POIs are gone, practically only gyms and 3 pokestops remain

All the POIs that show on @cyndiepooh 's screenshot are still in the database and live in Ingress. That suggests it’s not a Wayfarer issue, but maybe someone requested they are blocked from Pokémon Go specifically?

But for what purpose, since it is a public area where everyone spends their free time

Hi, welcome. So far I don’t think we have enough information for this to be marked as a bug, and if you’d like to create an appeal for something you should follow the format outlined when you create a new post in Wayspot Appeals . I am therefore moving this to General Discussion until we have more details.

No one can restore anything for you if you don’t provide information about the specific POIs you are hoping to see reappear, and please refrain from tagging staff with abstract requests.

If this is a matter of wayspots previously appearing in Pokémon GO at an abnormal density and them still being visible in eg. Ingress, it could be that the area underwent a density refresh - it’s been seen in several areas lately. Again we can’t determine what happened if you don’t specify which locations you are talking about.

POI density was maintained.

@Xenopus tomorrow I can send photos that these POIs are still there. I’ll write the name of the POI and add a photo. And so on with all the POIs that are missing. Is that what it was about?

POIs that have disappeared

  • Park linowy (After disappearing into this cell, the Pokestop became Altana piknikowa #3)
  • Street workout
  • Punkt widokowy
  • Pizzeria Morawizza
  • Altana piknikowa #4
  • Altana
  • Altana piknikowa #5
  • Altana piknikowa #1

These are links to the listed portals if it helps anyone to investigate.

I wonder if the removal of game locations has anything to do with this label on Google Maps?

But then why wouldn’t all the game locations have been removed? I see why this is so upsetting.

This rope park is currently undergoing replacement of the safety belts and ropes used to secure the climbers. the work is taking place on a small piece of land, it certainly has nothing to do with the fact that it was turned off POI in game

I am attaching photos confirming that the disabled POIs actually exist.

Screenshot from gallery - photos are from today (04.02.25)

@cyndiepooh @Xenopus will you help now?

I can’t help. I am just another explorer like you. I still see these in Ingress, so if they have been removed, it is just in Pokemon Go. I hate to tag staff but I know in the past that @NianticAaron has been able to confirm that the removal was done at property owner request. If that is the case, then there is nothing else to do. Unless you can contact the property manager in person and ask them to remove the request

I can give Niantic the contact details of the land manager, I’m sure he didn’t send anything and he won’t mind since it’s a public area for sports and meetings.

This location was abused in the past to create clusters. This was an attempt to reinforce the density and inclusion rules. Eligible Wayspots will be back on the gameboard soon.
