When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:
- Wayspot Title: Parque ranitas
- Location (lat/lon): 41.364778, 2.115062
- City: L’Hospitalet de Llobregat
- Country: Spain
- Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):
- Additional Information (if any): There is not a rejection Email because the wayspot that got deleted is not recent and what happened is quite strange. So it all started two days ago, when I was playing Pokemon Go and this pokestop suddenly disappeared. A new pokestop which was in the same S2 L17 cell appeared instead. The thing is that said deleted wayspot was completely valid and it got removed for no reason at all. I would like to know if it is possible to bring the wayspot back to the database, and if it could show up in Pokemon Go again instead of the new pokestop. I’ll add pictures to show that what I’m saying is real:
The wayspot that disappeared is the one in middle-right of the screenshot
I’m also adding a recent in real life photo of the deleted Wayspot to show that it is still there:
I would appreciate it a lot if you could help me, thank you.
Edit: Specified which is the deleted wayspot
Since the cell is already taken now it can not be brought back to Pokémon go even if restored
It still exists in Ingress.
[EDIT: Removed link to wrong post, darn it.]
OK, this link is better. While it talks about why a new wayspot may not show up in a particular game, the same thing will can happen for existing wayspots if the world around them changes.
Why hasn't my approved POI shown up in my game yet?
Basically, the wayspot is still in Wayfarer/Lightship. It sill shows up in Ingress. But, not in PoGo as you’ve noticed.
That’s very strange because I posted about it in the subreddit r/NianticWayfarer and they told me it had been deleted from the database, but you are right, it is back in Ingress. Link to the post: Reddit - Dive into anything
Regarding the removal from the map, the wayspot was a playground located in a public park, and it hasn’t changed for many years, so it doesn’t make sense that it got reported and it makes even less sense that the report went through. What I don’t really get is why it was deleted from the database but later brought back. Very weird all around.
Still, thank you for your help
This link is to a comment I made in another thread.
In that Reddit thread, someone made a comment about this spot being moved slightly, so maybe that triggered the PoGo sync internals to reevaluate that area and prefer the newly seen spot over the one you saw disappear.
I don’t think anything “disappeared” from a database.
I checked the wayfarer app when the reddit post was made and it was not showing in the database at that point. So the fact it’s now there suggests that Niantic has restored the wayspot without yet commenting here, though because there’s already another Pokéstop in that cell, it won’t show up in Pokémon Go now.

That’s why I was saying that it is very strange all around. Still, thank you for all your replies
It still appeared in ingress because the daily sync time for that game hadn’t happened yet.
