I submitted an entrance to a large park which has multiple entrances but no entrance signs at all. I selected the entrance in the middle of the park as it was most accessible.
The submission didn’t go through to voting so I decided to appeal as I had previously appealed an almost identical submission at a different park and it was accepted at appeal and approved.
I included relevant supporting information in my submission including the following clarification by Niantic (Parks & Outdoor Recreation - #2) that clearly states parks can be submitted even without a sign as they are great places to explore, socialise and exercise.
Yet the appeal decision says I need to include a sign to have a better chance of approval. This is totally inconsistent both with this clarification and previous appeal decisions.
A friend of mine has had a similar issue with inconsistency previously and has posted the appeal decision in this forum to ask for a member of staff to look at it again and this decision was overturned so I would kindly ask that a second look please be given to this submission too.
I have also included a link to my friends post who had a similar issue and had the appeal overturned:
Appreciate a second look being given
Small mod edit to clarify origin of the clarification guidance.

I hope the niantic team are able to help, because this is clearly a park, and the lack of signage doesn’t make it ineligible as its still a good place to socialise and exercise. Hopefully this incorrect appeal decision can be overturned.
I have recently had 2 more positive appeals for signless park entrances, to add to the evidence that these are often accepted. I don’t see any difference between my submissions and Miniryu’s.
Welcome to the forums
As a general rule, appeal decisions do not make rules, they only apply to the specific submission being appealed.
I would struggle to accept this if I saw it in review and your appeal text is over-egging the pudding. This is NOT a wheelchair-accessible entrance to a park, provides no facilities for cyclists and does not have obvious parking (the only space looks like it is there is for residents to turn around in).
I think you would do better with the entrance at the east end on Springfield Road.
Just to quickly interject, Wayfarer ambassadors are community members - they don’t issue clarifications or overturn decisions. In both cases who you mean is probably Niantic staff

Apologies I didn’t realise. I of course meant Niantic Staff

Hello and welcome @MiniryuNinja
This looks like one of these great long green spaces that urban planning in the U.K. at the time slotted in. They do make for more pleasant living.
But as you say the often don’t have official signage even although they will be maintained by the local council parks department. This is the sort of circumstance that I would expect the criteria clarification to be applied in.
It is tricky as the clarification is there to provide a wayspot for the park rather than an entrance - subtle but distinct difference in emphasis. And so far the park doesn’t have a wayspot for the park. So certainly a great idea to provide one.
A key piece of evidence that I would expect to see would be a link to the council website listing the name of the park and acknowledging it as a maintained green space. That is something I would expect something being called a park to have. At a guess it could be that that is what the appeal reviewer was looking for. As someone familiar with these spaces I can see the nicely maintained paths and the other wayspots referring to walking trails along this corridor show it to be a place being promoted for exercise. And I do hope you are submitting the picnic tables too.
So there are lots of positives for this actual space.
It is up the team to decide if the submission appeal outcome for this nomination was correct,

Thank you so much for taking a second look and accepting the appeal! Much appreciated.
I will take the feedback on board from members here to improve future submissions too
Also really appreciate the suggestions for other stops in the area.
