Hello Wayfarer Team and Community,
I recently submitted a Wayspot nomination for “Tượng Đức Mẹ Maria – Góc đức tin ven đường” in Quang Ngai City, Vietnam, but it was rejected with the reason:
“The text or photo contains abuse, ridicule, or harassment of a specific person or group.”
I believe this rejection reason is incorrect, and I would like to appeal or clarify.
This Wayspot is a religious statue of the
Mary, located in a small alley in a Catholic neighborhood. It is a respected and well-maintained landmark, representing the faith and cultural heritage of the local community. The site:
-
Does not contain any abusive or ridiculing text or images.
-
Is publicly accessible for pedestrians and motorbikes.
-
Does not obstruct traffic or private activities.
-
Holds cultural and religious value for the area.
Photos provided in the nomination show the statue in its original, respectful setting. There is no modification, harmful content, or inappropriate elements in the text or images.
Could you please review this case again? I believe it meets Niantic’s criteria for a culturally significant and safe pedestrian access Wayspot.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
