Additional Information (if any):" Reviewers provided these top reasons for not accepting this submission: The nomination object does not have a pedestrian pathway that leads all the way to the object"
I believe the reviewer for this appeal did not do their due diligence. If you look at the google map screen shot there is most definitely a side walk that both leads to and surrounds the flag poles.
This is what I would have chosen, too. Flagpoles are mass produced and you see them everywhere. If I submit something with flags, I make a case as to why these are a unique place to visit. I do see that you attempted to do that in the supporting statement, which is more than most do. The ones I accept personally as a reviewer are normally part of a memorial display with a dedication. Does this have anything like that? Or is there documentation of the ceremony attached? (fyi, your supporting photo should include the object you are submitting, too, but this was a good attempt at showing the safe pedestrian access to the area.)
I am unsure. I will have to inspect the area further before I resubmit.
I try to be detailed when submitting supporting documentation. My work background has drilled that into me for submitting paperwork. I’ll make sure to capture the subject on future submissions.
I looked around this area, and there should be poi eligible on a campus. Since the map I usually use (iitc for Ingress portals) no longer updates since Ingress was not included in the sale to Scopely, I can’t really check for what is in game recently. If this entrance sign hasn’t been, I would recommend submitting this
I’ve had one rejected for the building because of license plates in the picture. I just need to resubmit it. The buildings architecture is quite nice. I have pictures for the sign. I just need to submit the nomination. Time and priorities have been an obstacle lately.
