Appeal to restore gym/pokestop

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title:Fism Bicolor
  • Location (lat/lon): 44.42760443333897, 26.038638116700408
  • City: Bucharest
  • Country: Romania
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): No rejection email, the gym was simply removed from the game today
  • Additional Information (if any): The gym has been at the location for several years now. It is an area with safe pedestrian acces, not on private property. It is a cool graffiti design on the wall of a building, not affecting the privacy of the people living there. It is visible from street view, and can be easily spotted by anyone passing by. There has been a wave of deletions recently, more than 10 eligible stops/gyms dissapeared in the last few days in the area.

Welcome to the forum!

I don’t have any say in the appeal decision, but I do like to look to see if I can help folks make a stronger appeal. Is this the “mural”?

To me, this just appears to be a graffiti tag, which is vandalism. Here is a clarification:

If there is more to this “mural” than just a graffiti tag, you will want to explain that for staff.

Hello,

Thanks for the explanation. That “mural” was indeed the gym that was removed.

I do agree that this is not exactly 100% art and is not painted by a known artist, I would not like to lie about it.

What bothers me is that several interesting graffiti like this one has been removed altough some were in the game since 2016 and are still maintained while recently 2 have been approved and they actually make no sense, as they are more like vandalism.

Seems like someonne has something against my specific area, anything outside thise is still there even if some of them don’t get close to any criteria.

IMO.

In some areas of the world reviewers tend to accept “Graffiti” more than others. When reported or when Niantic notice them they are removed.

Good luck.

Thanks for the appeal, @TraianCT We have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire the Wayspot in question.
