Appealing the missing accepted Wayspot

Welcome @aminAlmere There have been several attempts to game the system by creating tiles yourself and submitting them as wayspots. I am not saying you did this, definitely not blaming you here. Am trying to provide the right context. Wayfarer is not meant to modify the environment to get in-game benefits. Therefore, such attempts are often removed. An example of such a discussion can be found here: Deeply Affected by False Accusations – Seeking Understanding

So I would highly suggest to not submit such tiles, without providing evidence that they are officially laid out by the municipality. So to help your appeal can you provide that context here?

Welcome to the forum!

The usual case when you never see a Wayspot appear on the Wayfarer map is that it has been removed before you ever got a chance to see it. Staff would have to confirm that this has happened.

If you are trying to appeal the removal, you should share proof of what this is and where it is. Google’s ai tells me: This text in Dutch translates to “The Tree Mosaic Tile”." There was an abuse issue with homemade tiles being unofficially placed in the Netherlands specifically to create Pokestops, so if this is that kind of tile, I am not sure it will be allowed. Any proof you can provide that it is an authorized installation placed where you pinned it will help your case.

Hello @AminAlmere

Just to add that you are welcome to write in Dutch on the forum if you find that better. We have translation tools to help non-Dutch speakers.

We have several knowledgeable Dutch wayfinders that can offer support

For the cycle routes, the ones that are a direction marker to the next node are considered to be just direction markers by Niantic and not eligible as wayspots.

These are the ones that have a number in a circle and an arrow, where that number is not a route number but a node number.

Example:

Thanks for the appeal, @AminAlmere. We have taken another look, but stand by our decision to retire this Wayspot.
