Are Crosses invalid now?

The description and title are a lot better.

As @cyndiepooh and @hankwolfman had indicated I think the photo could be better so that the cross shape can be clearly seen.

There is a normal recommendation not to apply an upgrade until after 24 hours to avoid the potential waste of an upgrade if it gets rejected.

Good luck with it and let us know how it gets on.

Here is an example for you:

Title: Orthodox Georgian Cross

Description:
Steel Orthodox Georgian Cross located on a public street in Batumi, serving as a local religious landmark where people often stop to pray.

Supporting Statement:
This cross is a culturally significant landmark and place of reflection for the community, representing local heritage and faith.

There is a limit to how much we can do there are plenty instances of people here trying several attempts, trying different photos and text.

The U.K. postbox topic highlights t many highs and lows. If you post looking to take on advice and respond to it then we can help.

One of the answers we sometimes have to say is that is just not suitable. I say this as someone who has their own little problem convincing Emily over an object:thinking: and maybe it isn’t suitable :woman_shrugging:

We dont know how AI work and probably never will, what we can do is just trying to improve nomination. You are free to take advise or no

When you use the same photo that has already been rejected, it is most likely going to be rejected again. I meant to use a different photo to resubmit. I do like this description text much better if you need to appeal a rejection of it this time. You should correct the title typo while you still can, unless that is a correct spelling of “Orthodox” there.

Interesting, I’m not familiar with that type of inverted-Y cross and it’s possible Emily is identifying it as something else. Some of the example photos show a cross made out of industrial materials which might make it look indistinct.

For descriptions: say what it is and where it is - unless it contains a banned word in which case you won’t be able to submit it. Submissions don’t have to be in English, if it gets through to human reviewers they will be local to you.

For the photographs: you might try to remove the visual clutter from the photo by framing it differently. If you can get more sky and fewer buildings, cars etc then the AI may concentrate more on the cross rather than the street scene.

My two cents worth - these look like potentially eligible wayspots and it looks like you’ve made a good faith attempt to get them accepted. It looks like your submissions may have had a knock-on effect on your account, so perhaps we can get the Wayfarer team to look into this? @NianticAaron ?
