Brazil Wayfarer Challenge - Discussion

Thank you!

Question: Will explorers outside of Brazil be allowed to change their bonus location to Brazil to help out?

I ask because I just changed mine, and am locked from changing it again lol

I donā€™t know why, but that post took forever to post. I looked after it and thought I had asked, but I couldnā€™t see it. Now itā€™s there. Weird

When I click on how long ago you posted, it says Nov 13 at 2:33pm Pacific, whereas my post was posted at 2:36pm. I bet the forum may have unlisted it for some unknown reason. Silly forumsā€¦

Iā€™m sorry, but shouldnā€™t your team prioritize the challenge for Saudi Arabia first, given that Pokemon GO was officially released in that region recently? Although not many players there have reach level 37 in-game, and thus global community can help them.

Or have you planned to use 3rd party imported Wayspots for them (and thus also introduce power spots)?

Ingress has been out there for a while though, I thought so there should be some L10+ Agents who can nominate things.

Also, may be better to open up a new topic about a Saudi Arabia challenge so others can provide input there, instead of it getting buried in the Brazil one?

Whilst I understand itā€™s a collab regarding PokĆ©mon GO, I think itā€™s a shame that Ingress didnā€™t get included.

I donā€™t know what the Brazil Ingress community is like, but if the OPR Live tick was offered again to Agents, Iā€™m sure that many would get involved.

There is no reason why Niantic canā€™t cover Saudi Arabia, but the Brazil event is linked to the Pokemon Go Safari Zone event that will take place in 3 weeks time. Saudi does deserve some attention, but not at the expense of other events, in my opinion.

Someone shared with me that they reviewed 51 nominations and the banner tells them the Community resolved 648

That seems very low. I wonder if Tier 1 will even be reached in 4 days?

I changed my bonus location to Brazil to help them out, and it is only at 783 resolutions now. The challenge ends on Monday. There is no way the Brazil community will hit the Tier 1 rate at this point.

Go Safari Zone in Sao Paul, Brazil is not until Dec. 7 and 8. I think you confused it with the Wild Area event in Fukuoka, Japan this weekend.

Where have you seen news that there will be a Wayfarer booth at the City Safari event?

I reread the original post. It mentioned 5,000 contributions for Tier 1, 10,000 contributions for Tier 2, and 20,000 contributions for Tier 3. Normally, challenges would say resolved for each of these tiers. I intercept this as they mean each review counts as a contribution and they are not counting the Tiers by resolved nominations. It does make the community counter confusing though.

The News post is a bit confusing all around, especially since they mentioned this leading up to City Safari.

Iā€™m not going to any in-person PoGo event, ever, most likely. I also live nowhere near Brazil, so why would I actively follow an event I wonā€™t be going to?

Wayfarer has had booths at past PoGo in-person events, so Iā€™m just assuming. I guess we arenā€™t allowed to make assumptions anymore.

PoGo has only had Wayfarer booths at GoFests not at any Safari or Tour event

48 hours and we are at only at 844. I tried to reach out to a content creator to help spread the news but I didnā€™t get a response. They not made a good job on announcing this event. There is a task in game related to it but it just says pokestop challenge, I did not know at first it was related to this.

Itā€™s a shame but I donā€™t see us reaching tier 1.

These are tasks in Pokemon go. It says nothing.

Do you think it is that people donā€™t know about the Challenge, or rewards not enough?
