I’ve noticed in my town that there are multiple accepted wayspots that lack an image or a description. At the same time, even those from this list that are alone in a cell were not added to the game. Could the lack of information be the cause of that? And can I do something about it? Is there a way to update wayspots with this information? And if not, should I report and resubmit them myself? A picture of one of the many examples is attached.

Something with no image or description would normally be an imported Wayspot added directly to the game by Niantic rather than going through the normal Wayfarer process. There was a large data import that was only eligible to be used as Power Spots, even when alone in an L17 S2 cell. If this is the right Wayspot, that appears to be the case here.
You can add photos or text to it through the in game menu while it is active. I don’t like to do this so that it is less confusing as to whether reviewers will see it in review if the point of interest is submitted as a full Wayspot. Just adding a photo and a description to one of these imports will not make it become Pokestop eligible. Many(most?) of these imported only to be used as Power Spots are not eligible under regular criteria, but this one may be. You could do some research.
