How do we update photos and descriptions on existing wayspots?

So, in my country Singapore, the Esplanade is one of our most famous tourist spots, think Sydney Opera House adjacent, its a performing arts theatre with a unique design

However, the wayspot has no description at all, and the photos of the spot is absolutely terrible. People who receive the wayspot’s postcard couldn’t even tell its a significant tourist attraction…

There is no way to update the description on Wayfarer, nor contribute additional photos without taking down the wayspot. Can an admin address this please? Thanks.

You can make edits through Pokemon Go.

If the wayspot exists as a Pokéstop or Gym in game, you can go up to it (you need to be there in person) tap on it, go to the photo disc as if you were going to spin it, then tap the button in the top right hand corner and then tap the button in the top right hand corner again. This will show you a list of various things you can do. One of these should be to edit the description. You can submit a new description using this option and it’ll get reviewed by the wayfarer system.

You can also submit new images in a similar way, and also view all the images attached to the current Pokéstop and give a thumbs up to the best ones. The one with the most thumbs up will usually become the main photo, though sometimes it may need even more thumbs up.

Same problem at Hong Kong. Some spot didn’t visible in Pokémon go, but can be a postcard in the pikmin bloom.

If the spot is appear in Pokémon go, of course we can submit up-today image to the spot.

But wayfafer make simple thing become difficult to do so. Plz let all wayfafer user can update ALL spot that existed on wayfafer map, by using wayfafer website/system.

People are happy to make all spot updated with good pictures.

Welcome to the forum!

Besides in game submitting, you can also use the form linked at the top here under Wayspot Removals. It can also be used for modifications.
Request modification or removal of a PokéStop or Gym – Pokémon GO
The choices I have never match what I need to do, so I just pick one. I have been told that if I pick “Private Property” then the automated acknowledgement email won’t ask for my credentials as property owner. (I do not reply to the automated email if it asks that.) When you get to the text box, you can write in exactly what the issue is, and you will have a place to provide evidence, unlike with an in game edit submission.

Yes! This discussion reminded me of a similar problem I had! A PokéStop’s cover image clearly had people on it, so I went and took a new one. My contribution was accepted. I thought the old one would be deleted when I submitted the new one, but the photo with the people is still there, and my photo is also in some kind of gallery.

With this example you can ask help chat or the form Cyndie mentioned to ask Niantic to remove the photos with people in them.

You can do this with things that aren’t in game too if you get their details from the map.

Help chat can be accessed via the wayfarer account like this
