As of now, people could have a PoGo and an Ingress account, allowing for a total of 80 submissions max on the same account and a buildup of 2 new submissions per day.
With PoGo and Ingress going seperate ways, that’s no longer possible, so I asked myself if it wouldn’t be just more fair to have more (80?) max submissions and build it up by 2 a day for both the Games from the moment the split is final.
As someone who loves to submit hike trails, my max submissions often go low and prevent me from submitting new trails when I was hiking for a few days in a row, and building up new possible submissions takes a long time, so oftentimes i feel closed out when I explore a new hike trail, but am unable to submit it to wayfarer.
I don’t even play ingress by now, but I think it would be fair to give people who had both the abilities they are used to for their respective new Database and also I feel the 40 max limit, and especially the one by day buildup, are too restrictive.
It comes up ALL THE TIME. Even before Ingress stopped accepting, some asked for more than 80 a day. Many asked for that when we were asked what we wanted to see from Wayfarer in 2025.
Niantic worries about spam submissions. But what if extra submissions could be earned? Say: the current 40, but for every 100 acceptances, you got another 10 nominations? So, like 50 instead of 40, increasing from there.
History: Originally (2016) we had 7 nominations in 14 days. Then they expanded it to 14 every 14 days. Those times were SO PAINFUL.
