Hi all
I know you’ve strong feelings about the nominations which normally get catched by the ML BUT I want to remember you that behind every nomination a real human exist. Maybe they’ll find their way to us and can learn but until than they might feel uncomfortable when this community are making fun on their back. Please reconsider to share all that “coal” and make it a welcoming environment

Hopefully staff will see the amount of coal we are getting, realise that something is wrong, inform us that they have found an issue and are dealing with it and maybe the amount been shared here will rush them along.
Maybe they will find there way here, realise how bad their nomination was and learn from the mistake, otherwise you get the “My nominations are always rejected for no reason” posts.
And some know that they are wasting our time when they do it “for a laugh”, if that’s what they want then we should have a laugh as well.

Staff acknowledged sometime ago that there seems to be an issue
So there is no need for further postings to alert them.

It may be that there is an issue that can be quickly resolved.
Or it may take longer. We have to wait and see. We all need to adjust to what we see in review.
As @AliceWonder1511 has said there are real people behind these submissions so please consider if your post is necessary and would the submitter find it kind to read.
I didn’t take a screenshot, but I recently got a nomination for two ducks or geese. It was funny, but not. LOL
I just got this one again. Which means the submitter has submitted this more than once. (I’m not making fun of this.)

Why are so many substandard items being submitted that cause the ML to crash?
Even now, abnormal submissions that fail to meet the standards are passing review, and approvals for things like elementary school monuments are being observed. We’ve requested action, but I simply cannot understand this.
We don’t know that submissions caused ML to crash. This is actually very unlikely. Niantic haven’t yet confirmed there is a problem with NL, only acknowledged a report and said they will look into it.
ML being out of action. which it appears to be, might let more ineligible things through if the submissions get reviewers who don’t know the criteria.
if you see things accepted that are clearly ineligible, then report them. I have done this a couple of times for things on scout property (equivalent to school grounds), although ML wasn’t at fault for those. To report existing wayspots seen during review, I posted on this forum because I couldn’t see a better way.
If you are there, it’s easier and probably better to report them in person.

I know that there is a genuine submitter behind this, and I feel sorry for them.
But if this is the coal that Emily stops then I appreciate her even more now.
I hope the team gives a update soon after the weekend is over

This is actually not what they are asking for; they are trying to see if they can get something ineligible approved. ML, the AI system, is currently down, so there is a good amount of coal, bad nominations, coming through review. This should be rejected for influencing reviewers, which isn’t allowed, as well as just not meeting any criteria.
If you would like to report this nomination, you can do so using the Reporting Abuse link at the top of the forums, or help chat on the Wayfarer website.
