Community Rejection in mere minutes, hike trail with map provided

Just got a (in my opinion utterly wrong) community decision just minutes after I pushed a submission into queue from my backlog.

Translation:

Hessenweg 1 to the village center

Here the Hessenweg 1 leads into the center of Burg.

Hiking trails are good POIs because they encourage group hiking and exploration. Evidence of the trail’s existence and a map of its route can be found here: Waymarked Trails - Hiking This point on the trail is located at an easily missed intersection, making it particularly significant.

I don’t understand how the community can come to a decision like that in just minutes without an upgrade used or anything. Also I provided all neccessary info.

If I check that location it appears to mismatch the supporting picture, it looks like the correct location could be here, which does not match the link provided:

EDIT (map marker did not work):

So I can see the eligibility of the marker, but there appears to be issues with its location.

Yes i agree the surrounding photo doesnt seems to match the location on map

Well, then I guess I need to do a better surrounding picture, as the spot is in this exact location (where the smaller path leading up to the main street hits the wider path leading underneath the bridge.)

I’ll do another try once i come around there again ^^

Still I wonder how the community could come to a no in just a few minutes, but however, i guess. it is how it is.

You can appeal or resubmit. But i suggest try resubmit after checking location and get better picture of the sign(i see one of rejection clause is because it seems not permanent). Make sure to put all evidence into supporting description including the trail map. That will help reviewer decide

I agree that this is highly unusual behavior for a “community” review. I wanted to let you know that you were heard on this, and I appreciate that you brought this to our attention. I don’t think you are going to get any explanation on how this happened. I know I can’t explain it. But it is not out of the realm of possibility that a lot of reviewers were active when this hit voting status and were able to decide it quickly :woman_shrugging:

Sounds like a plan! No street view makes it harder to judge this location accuracy properly. Happy to see the effort being put in a good supporting text. Maybe the description can highlight why the trail is interesting👍
