This was my second attempt at this nomination, the first being rejected for the same reason during the review challenge. I managed to get the four other meadow areas that I nominated accepted first time, two of them in residential areas, but they had bespoke wooden signposts as placemarkers. In this case, I don’t think enough reviewers are reviewing beyond the more basic appearance of the sign, whereas it is the meadow that is the wayspot and I have provided the evidence to show that this is an official feature.
There are other meadow areas without signposts that I have yet to attempt to nominate, but before doing so I asked the council whether there was an intention to install additional signposts in these locations (including at Terrington Close) and the response was “At the moment there are no plans to install any more but that might change should the funding become available.”
I am not sure there is anything else I can add to this nomination in the meantime, so maybe it’s a candidate for an appeal once my appeal cooldown has ended?
