De-spawned POI - August 4th Sync

Hello,

I’m trying to determine what happened to a POI located at 33.06008926793921,-96.8395471572876. It is an old POI (likely 5-10 years old based on surrounding POI) located in a public park.

This POI appeared as the only Power Spot in its L14 cell when the Power Spots were first introduced and has remained present ever since.

However, this POI de-spawned upon the August 4th Power Spot sync, presumably due to changes made for the Max events last month, but did not reappear during the September 4th Power Spot sync.

There is another ‘old’ POI nearby in the same L17 cell, but since there wasn’t previously any proximity issues, or any new proximity issues from new POI, I’m confused as to why this spot hasn’t reappeared as there are no other Power Spots in that L14 cell.

I see that two Wayspots were retired around the same time that were duplicates.

To clarify - I still see the ‘old’ wayspots reflected on the in-game upload map, and I’m unfamiliar with retiring stops, which may have caused my confusion.

I’ll do further research, but otherwise thanks again.
