So like last week a popular Wayspot in our town got deleted, which had the whole local comunity left speechless. It was the first Gym (Pokemon Go) to ever exist in this area and also was at a very good Location, but it got deleted for some reason, probably because someone reported it.
So, i know yall can probably not bring back that Gym in Pokemon Go , but i know you can bring that Wayspot back, iam speaking in the name of the whole local comunity and i can say that this Wayspot never violated any rules wo it would be kind to look over this one again
That is an old Screenshot of the Wayspot, which you can see at the red Arrow (btw, the blue yellow is where the gym got placed after the removal of “Historischer Hydrant”)
This is how the Wayspot looks, a old Fire Hydrant with carvings located under Leaf Trees that protect from the sun, with 2 Benches besides it,which made it perfect for meeting up and raiding
That looks like an excellent wayspot, we have some 1930s water hydrants in my area which usually get accepted, but if Niantic themselves review them they tend to get rejected, I don’t think historic hydrants feature very much in Niantic-land.
You could resubmit it, but that wouldn’t guarantee that it would become a gym.
I thought that might be the case, but just wanted to make sure. That information should help your appeal, as if it was an active fire hydrant, it would be ineligible. The fact it’s no longer in service and may have some historical significance should go in your favour.
The Problem is, this was a Wayspot for years before it got deleted and theres no way to appeal for something like this inside of the game. Thats why iam here
If you look at the end of this section about what should be reported Niantic Wayfarer
it reads
In cases where the Wayspot was invalid and should not have been approved, we may also investigate the Wayfinders involved in the approval and issue penalties based on the severity of the offense.
If Niantic has already decided once that the Wayspot is invalid, they would probably consider it abuse to submit it again. I would not resubmit a removed Wayspot.
So it is possible that this is still currently in use, and it may just be a modern reproduction of the original hydrant. Would an active fire hydrant have a sign to indicate that it is still in use?
It does not have to be your submission to appeal a restoration of a waypoint. This forum allows for such appeals in Wayspot Appeals - Niantic Wayfarer Community, all you need to do is provide all the relevant information and proof.
