It was called Senna Dog Park in the city of Azusa, CA.
A neighbor (that no longer lives in the community) took it up on herself to report the POI and get it removed.
It’s NOT a gated community and the POI was a little dog park that Niantic had approved; at least 5 of us that still live here play Pokemon Go, any chance we can please get it back?
It still exists in the database. It’s likely in Ingress, but blocked from Pokémon Go due to the complaint. Do you have any proof that the person who reported it no longer lives there?
There are way too many points in and around Azusa,CA for anyone to check every single one on the Ingress side and while I’m not from CA I went for a snoop around the map anyways to see if I could find it on our side.
Alas I couldn’t at this moment in time find it listed as it’s an obscure name and limited details on the Pokémon Go Postcard image you posted maybe I’m looking in the wrong area but I found a few parks.
However if you visit there often can you post us an address for further snooping or even better co-ordinates from a photo you have taken (if enabled) at the place.
It’s a tricky one but the more evidence you have then you can make an appeal or reach out on wayfarer chat but make sure you have evidence eg…images etc before contacting them.
This community here can offer advice but it is solely up to the higher ups to overturn anything.
@paulingzubat Hiya I’m an Ingress Player in the U.K too and us Brits do our research carefully most of the time,I was just having a giggle with @hankwolfman as he was the only other Brit awake at 2am,I just didn’t know the mission creator tool had that search ability,I messed around with it back in the day but it all ended up in a mess of bugs on the old vanilla forums and ingress broke so I semi-retired from playing but stayed on the forums helping others with issues & appeals as there was no game restrictions there to join wayfarer.
See even nowadays we are still learning things again old or new
This is exactly why the game says you need to be aware and respectful while interacting with other people. There is a whole cemetery with 7 waypoints all in ingress but no corresponding pokestops. People dont really appreciate 5 Pokemon go players doing raids near their property.
