I live in a public complex near public, small businesses and shops. Yesterday, all of our pokestops disappeared. None of these stops were in single family homes, they were all in the middle of public, walkable spaces. A lot of them are memorable locations like statues, gazeebos, and fountains around small shops. There have been no complaints mounted, my community manager and I are in contact and there has been no request for removal. We don’t have any gyms that are attracting significant foot traffic to garner any complaint. I would like as many back as I can.
The fact that the whole area has been removed definitely looks like a “request for removal” from someone that has the authority.
Mistakes can happen so think this is one to wait for an official response from Staff, they may mention the reason but will not be able to go in to the details.
Are you allowed to tell me when this report was made? I heard about a former resident complaining seven years ago there have been stops for years and years with no further complaints or any semblance of public presence from players. Is there a way for the property owner to appeal this?
Just wanting to add to this discussion as I’ve noticed something.
If you are successful in finding out who reported it and getting them to change their mind, please note that “Scio Village Fountain” may end up not getting restored, as it is in the middle of a roundabout without any marked crossings to the centre, so that would break the rules for safe pedestrian access.
Unfortunately, I can’t share those details. You can reach out to the president of HOA/Property manager and have them reach out to us directly if they want these reinstated.
Hello, I had my HOA president reach out with the names of the pokestops. He was told the in game locations would be restored yet nothing is showing up in game.
While we are unable to comment on any conversation we had with any third party, here is some generic information.
Oftentimes, when we make edits to our database, there is a short period of time that passes between when the edits are input and when the changes are actually reflected.
If we have made any adjustments to any location, it may take upto 48 hours for those changes to reflect on the gameboard.

I had sent an appeal in regards to all my stops in my area being removed, and it was appealed and accepted to have the stops and gym return. It’s been over 2 weeks and nothing has been returned yet. Is there anything I need to do to fix this?
Hello, I just wanted to check in again and make sure everything is OK. It’s been 2 weeks since the escalation and we still have not seen anything return yet.
@NianticAaron Hello again, I am sorry to bother you, but I’m checking in again as it has been a month without any changes and I am worried that if I don’t continue to check it will be forgotten. Is there anyway I can get a guarantee that the locations are coming back? And if not, do we have to resubmit these stops again? It’s been a challenge to play here for me and my community and I want to make sure something gets done.
You don’t bother us. Please feel free to write in or ask questions anytime. We will be glad to assist you
I’m sorry that it’s taking longer than we initially anticipated. I can assure you that this is right at the top of our priority list.
It hasn’t been and won’t be forgotten. You have our word on that.
Yes, there is a guarantee. As soon as the underlying issue gets fixed, the Wayspots will be back on the gameboard.
That won’t help. The Wayspots still exist in our database. They are not populating on the gameboard because of a bug that will still be case even if you resubmit (provided they are not marked as duplicates).
I totally understand that. We regret the inconvenience and want to assure you again that we are working tirelessly on a fix.
