Pokestop removed - appeal to have it reinstated - pool

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Perkiomen Woods Community Pool
  • Location (lat/lon): 40.172643, -75.454932
  • City: Collegeville
  • Country: USA
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): There was no email, the pokestop has been there for 4+ years and now it’s missing.
  • Additional Information (if any): The stop was located at a community pool. It is not on private residential property. It is in a townhome community but it is apart from residential property. The stop was there for 4+ years and was suddenly missing today 7/24/25. I reviewed the guidelines and I don’t see that it was violating any guidelines.

Does this appear as pokestop now?

No, that does not appear as a Pokestop now.

If everything was gone within close period of time, its usually because property owner request for removal. I am not sure what cause this, and might need to wait staff to comment

I would recommend that you include the following link in your appeal - https://perkiomenwoods.connectresident.com - which clearly shows that the swimming pool is for community use and is not privately owned by any one resident.

Good luck with your appeal.

Are you sure? As per our records, it should have been removed long ago at the request of the property owner.

Yes, I am sure. I have been playing since 2021 and I have been using that pokestop from 2021 through yesterday. Are you able to advise is the “property owner” the Perkiomen Woods Homeowners Association? I am a homeowner in the community so I will be taking this up with them if this was done at their request.

There must be some issue in that case. The Wayspot should have been removed a lot earlier.

While I’m unable to share any further details, I can assure you that the removal was requested by legitimate people with authority over the location.

If I can successfully appeal this issue with the property owner, is there contact information I could provide for them to follow up with to appeal these pokestop removals or any property bans on new stops that may have been requested? I’m not sure when the original request was made for the stop removals or by whom, but it seems that the people in charge of the homeowners’ association at present are not even aware of this request being made.

Unless Aaron gives you a different link to connect to the original removal request, this form can be used for removals AND modifications. I would have the current hoa head send in a request to remove any blocks on this location through this:

If you could please put us in contact with the property owner using the link @cyndiepooh has provided :index_pointing_up:, we would be happy to collaborate with them directly regarding this location.

Hello, I received an update from our HOA board early in the morning on Tuesday 8/19 and they advised that they had contacted Niantic and this pokestop and the other nearby pokestop that had been removed were to be reinstated. How long does it usually take for a reinstated pokestop to show up in the game again? Is there anything else that needs to be done for these to be reinstated?

(Here’s the link for the other nearby stop for reference: Pokestop removed - appeal to have it reinstated - tennis court - #5 by NianticAaron)

Hello, I am a level 50 player who lives in this area. What is the issue delaying the reinstatement of the two pokestops in our community (tennis court & pool area)? We have clearance from the HOA and followed protocol. Please escalate this at your earliest convenience. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum @DJAMZ5

Firstly, there’s been no official public confirmation from Niantic on this thread that they’ve received the communication from the HOA and that they’ve decided to restore the wayspots. This could take a little bit of time.

Secondly, even if there had already been action taken to restore the wayspots, there’s been an issue with the daily sync between wayfarer and Pokémon Go being a bit broken lately, so even if they were already restored as wayspots, that data likely wouldn’t have had chance to sync into Pokémon Go yet due to those sync issues.

I suggest having a bit of patience

Is it possible that other wayspots appeared to replace those that where removed?

In which case these will not appear in game due to the S2 Cell rules.

The out of date Intel Map does show “Perkiomen Woods Tot Lot“ in the same cell as the pool.

Nothing with the Tennis Courts but as stated the maps are out of date.

Per this thread - Waiting on pokestop reinstatements to reappear in game - #2 by NianticAaron they did receive confirmation from the HOA and the pokestops are set to be reinstated but it has been since 8/19 and they are still not showing up again in game. It has been since 8/29 that NianticAaron confirmed on the other thread that there was a bug that needs to be fixed. I think we would just appreciate an update on the bug fix since it’s been nearly a month since the stops were supposed to be reinstated and they are still not back. Has the sync issue been a problem from 8/19 or 8/29 to present? Or is this likely a different issue?

No other wayspots have appeared in the game in our neighborhood.
