Dont change pokestops photos

Hi
Sometime i chang photos in my area, but 3-4 months ago, the photos dont change. these photos have all votes, but i dont know w happnd. do you have Idea?

It seems like you know about voting on the photos. The one with the most votes in Pokemon Go should become the new disc photo. At least for newer Pokestops.

Older Pokestops could have trapped votes you canā€™t see. Before Lightship existed, Ingress was the database for what we call Wayspots now. Back then, everything had to be an Ingress Portal before it could become a Pokestop. When the database moved away from Ingress, some votes made in Ingress became trapped to the photos. Even if you check through Ingress now, you canā€™t be sure how many trapped votes it has.

For your photo that isnā€™t changing, just keep getting more and more people to thumb the photo.

If the photo that is currently the disc photo is so bad that it needs to be removed, you can ask help chat to do that at Niantic Wayfarer through the text bubble that will pop up at the bottom right.

Always thought that Photo Votes should expire after a certain length of time.

  • There is more chance that an newer image is going to show the wayspot in itā€™s current condition.

  • Definitely in my area and would assume in most that there are fewer players than there was in the past making it harder for new photos to get voted in.

  • Modern mobiles camera quality is advancing quickly, now I know that better equipment doesnā€™t make a better photo but if everything else is the same it can help.

Just think that the newer photo should get some priority over the older ones.
