Hello Explorers,
As some of you may have noticed, there’s been a change in the level requirement for Ingress Agents to participate in Niantic Wayfarer. We’re thrilled to announce that the Agent level required for Wayfarer participation is now level 8 for nomination and edit submissions.
Why the change?
By relaxing the eligibility level in Ingress, we’re welcoming more Agents to Wayfarer by becoming active reviewers, Wayspot contributors, and forum participants!
We know that reaching higher Ingress levels can be challenging, especially for Agents in rural areas. By relaxing the eligibility requirements, we’re empowering more Agents, level 8 or higher, to contribute to the game and help build a more vibrant and engaging experience for everyone regardless if they live in major metropolitan cities or small rural communities.
What about Pokémon GO?
We’re excited to share that we’re actively working with the Pokémon GO team to bring this beneficial change to their community soon!
