Following my message, I got a small handful of garbage to reject, but it’s still a lot less than the 80% ratio I was getting yesterday. 15 out of 100 insta-rejects isn’t great, but it’s low enough to make it look like eMiLy has woken up slightly.

I had a session where I insta-reject 15 nominations out of 49[It is 30% rejection rate]. Two days recently I got less garbage to deal with though(They still submit starbuck omg)
Still not cool consider my usual rejection session rate is 12%…

I just did a quick review session, and I think I approved 1 nomination and 1 title edit; the rest was subdivision signs, generic businesses, flag poles, even a lawn waste dump site and a wind turbine…
Sigh…

これまで通り人間による審査で十分すぎる
なによりAIによって勝手に審査される事なく否認されるのが本当に許せなかったから、この機会にエミリーを廃止してくれ
We literally had years backlog before ML, it was not sufficient.

人間による審査は個々の判断に委ねられるので承認されやすい、だからAIによる審査は必要無いと私は判断している
Based on what has been shared and I have reviewed… approval is not and should not be likely for the tons and tons of bad nominations ML should have rejected.

People who’ve never even read the criterias are throwing in tons of candidates that are utterly unacceptable. Of course, they probably don’t know about ladder policy either. Today I reviewed this sign. He photographed it from the back and said “Kiyonaga District Bulletin Board.” He probably didn’t know Street View would be checked during the review flow. eMiLy was covering for people like them too.

I refuse to call a Machine Learning system “AI”. However, this is a very good example of a machine learning system being put to good use, because eMiLy does remove a large amount of garbage submissions that don’t need review. The only thing these submissions are good for is getting acceptances with everyone else who is rejecting them, and that is definitely not a good reason to keep them in the queue, since they are a complete waste of time.

I agree wholeheartedly.
There is always a chance ML will make a mistake, but that’s what appeals are for. It does way more good than harm in this case.

普段wayspotを回っているのにこんなに基準を理解しない人が多い事を
eMilyのフィルターがなくなったことにより判明し残念に思う
スタッフ側はどのように考えているのか？
確かにAIフィルターがおかしい物もあるが
速度標識や交差点、犬、仮設ベンチ、量販店で売られてる人形は理解できない

If your submissions are consistently blocked by eMiLy, please use the review support section of this forum. If your submissions meet the criteria yet are still blocked, we’ll work together to identify the cause and assist you. I’ve noticed some patterns in the cases where eMiLy stopped submissions, and others have likely noticed some as well.

This is inaccurate. ML is currently not working; staff has not said that ML is going away, just that it isn’t working right now.

Considering the massive amounts of ineligible wayspots eMiLy sifts through, it’s just a fact of life (currently) that ML models are going to miss some nuance or make a mistake and decline things that shouldn’t be declined. This is what appeals are for. It’s a very small price to pay to not have to manually decline all the garbage we’re getting currently while she’s taking a nap. Literally just declined someone’s personal garden shed and a plaster cast mini statue by someone’s front door. 
I hope eMiLy comes back soon!
