Fake photo? (but the photo is taken by my phone without any edit)

I submitted a wayspot nomination for a new landmark in Victoria Harbour in Hung Hom, Hong Kong.

But I got a warning and wayspot side decided this is fake photo.

As it was very newly installed, it cannot find in Google map and google user submission. But it was already discussed in Facebook group.

Furthermore, I am working nearby and taken photo in different view in different days.

Here attached photos taken in different side in different days.

Can anyone teach me how to remove the mistakenly warning? (As appeal for warning cannot attach any photo)

I seconded on HambroY1’s view and regret that his submission was erroneously reported by fellow Wayfarers as fake / 3rd party photo.

I often walk nearby the POI and I noticed such art installation erected very recently. Google search for photo does not return results of any 3rd party photos matching submitter’s photos.

The feature shown in the photos provided by Google Image Search was different from submitter’s one. I believe that submitter’s photo are genuinely taken and does not infringe any copyright or plagiarism issues.

Would NIA-SCOPELY please revisit on this case and to lift up the warning of HambroY1. Thank you.

The best evidence would be to find a news article or other official announcement about this art installation. Something this large had to generate some press. I always provide a link to that in the supplemental when I’m submitting something new that the reviewer won’t be able to see on satellite or street view. It will also help the Wayfarer team understand the legitimacy of the object.

You can actually upload the foto elsewhere and give the link. You can also take video ,probably touching on it , upload it to youtube and post the link here

Anyway please put as many evidence that you can find here. Staff will read but it may take some time. Its in your best interest to provide that evidence before staff make comment.

Hey @HambroY1 ,

Apologies for the inconvenience.

This looks like an error in judgement. I have revoked the warning on your account. I can confirm that this will not reflect on your records.

Thanks,

Thanks for quick response from NianticAaron. As I know my submission seems to be reported by seraval user maliciously, will there be further action to those users?

Oops misread. Sorry for the tag.

I know that what we call “educational emails” for incorrect reviewing can be sent, but I don’t know what prompts them. I didn’t see your original nomination to see if reviewers were justified in thinking it was probaby fake. I hate for warnings to be sent to people trying to use their best judgement to review.

We ultimately reviewed it. It was our mistake.
