False 10-Year Ban on Wayfarer Account - Request for Manual Review

​Hello Wayfarer Team and Community Managers,

​My Wayfarer account was recently hit with a 10-year suspension for allegedly violating the Wayfarer and Niantic Player Guidelines. I received the automated message saying I was banned due to repeated or severe violations, but I am completely blindsided by this.

​I have always tried my best to follow the criteria strictly, both when reviewing and when submitting. I have never used third-party software, participated in voting rings, or intentionally submitted fake locations. I genuinely care about the quality of the lightship map.

​I have already submitted a formal appeal via the Help Center, but as many in the community know, these often receive automated reponses.

​Could a Community Manager please look into my case manually to verify if this was an error or a false positive by the automated system? I would be highly grateful for a second look.

The email will tell which nomination trigger the suspension. If you cant find it, you can wait for staff to DM you the information.

In my personal experience, if you use the appeal link in the email, human staff will reply to you

​Thank you for looking into this! I followed your advice and reached out to the Pokémon GO team immediately.

​Unfortunately, their automated chat support (the bot named Reece) instantly closed my ticket within 5 minutes with a generic automated refusal, completely ignoring that a Wayfarer Community Manager sent me there for a manual check.

​Since the automated Pokémon GO system keeps blocking me instantly, is there any way a human agent from your side could pass my Trainer Name (Gewitter2205) or account email to the internal player sustainability team? I am completely stuck in a bot-loop.

I would give the warning to be careful with Reddit.

Many times on here we get the following…

  • Players that claim suspension for no reason, are informed why, claim fake info, get closed down by staff, go on to Reddit claiming same thing as there is no moderation.

  • “That is wrong as I read on Reddit (or other none official places” that…"
