Since the introduction of the wayfarer map and some 3rd party overlays, I have found stuff I want to submit in person, but have not found an easy way to mark or record without using Google Maps and note taking apps. This is a long winded process, and am wondering if we could, if not already exist, have the ability to mark places on the Wayfarer Map where we can use to help us find the location when we are nearby?
I appreciate this could be abused, but am hoping the benefit outweighs the risk.
Yep, this would be great. I don’t see a way this could be abused, especially if our potential or planned spots were not shared with anyone else. There are third party tools that allow us to do this, but i agree that it would be a nice native feature of the map. It would support the concept of us being “builders” of the map and give us more pride of ownership.
Of course if you’re within the allowed distance, you could use a draft for this. But many of us plan submissions much farther than that allowance.
Creating drafts did occur to me, but I am hoping for something more convenient without getting us to semi commit. There are other suggestions linked to this including allowing us to create routes between certain submission points (not the same type of routes in Pogo), which then allows us to create a route between locations.
I have on a few occasions went out of my way to go and submit, only to forget where the location is.
