Flea Market Field Inquiry

Heyo, I’ve got a question about a possible nomination for an open field at a gated recreational park. Sandy Pines, in Michigan, hosts a flea market in a field and gets a lot of foot traffic because of it, but when there is nothing going on, it just looks like an unassuming open field. There is a streetview panorama shot of the flea market in session which could boost the likelihood of reviewers seeing the value in the field. Could something like this be a wayspot? Sounds like it could fall under the no-sign park criteria, but given that it is NOT specifically a park, i’m not so sure. Sandy Pines does recognize it as the “Flea Market Area” on their site, though.

If this could be a valid wayspot, what kinds of specific information should I look for for the supporting information?

Here is a link to the next planned event for this area, Normally they do a memorial day flea market and flower sale, which is what is shown in the streetview on the field, but this year they are trying out a craft show instead, moving the flower sale a bit earlier to a different area of the park - https://sandypines.com/event/craft-vendor-show/2026-05-23/

Here’s the coordinates - 42.681670298356416, -85.81326556944855

This would be difficult but I think is eligible. There is a link directly to the Flea Market Area as a venue, too, besides the link you gave: https://sandypines.com/venue/flea-market-area/

imo, this makes it a permanent location that would meet exploration/social critria. But street view from the road is from 2009, and I have no idea what you could use as a visual anchor for the space for the photo and pin placement.

Oh neat, mustve missed that link, thank you kindly.

Anchor point will be a tad tricky for sure, but maybe i’ll scout it out a bit next time i visit, there might be something identifiable enough there that would make sense.
