  • Additional Information (if any): The current POI Ganesh Marketing exists at this location. However it only exists in Pokemon go. It does not exist in Ingress. I nominated a POI titled Giant Coca Cola Bottle on 2018-09-01. I recently appealed this rejected nomination (wrongly rejected as generic business). Niantic, have decided reject my appeal by duplicating my nomination Giant Coca Cola Bottle with the existing POI Ganesh Marketing.

I see that as reasonable. However it is absolutely unreasonable that the POI still hasn’t showed up in Ingress. If Niantic or Reviewers are going to duplicate good nominations like this, the POIs must be imported into Ingress as well. There is no POI in Ingress within 40 meters of the nomination I had made.

Please fix this process/bug and make either Giant Coca Cola Bottle or Ganesh Marketing live in Ingress.

It infuriates me that imports don’t show up in Ingress, but that is a decision by the Ingress team.

I think it’s also important to point out that Ganesh Marketing is a pogo import from a database. Those may not necessarily meet Niantic’s typical criteria and often don’t even have a photo.
