Your main photo, as well as supporting, doesn’t really show that this is a permanent sign. In the future, you may want to take a photo of the sign for the main photo, and in the supporting show the sign and trail together. There are some good examples of main photos like this in the Trails & Markers section.
Staff may take another look at this, but there’s no guarantee that they’ll reverse the decision.
