I wouldnt expect any updates over the weekend.

Make that five now. All resubmissions that I have posted about before. I’ll update the relevant threads.

I miss Emily that’s for sure. I don’t submit a lot of things but prior to ML auto accepts, submissions around where I am normally took 3-5 days to be processed. Finally had a slam dunk submitted on 1st December get accepted by the community. Looks like the ones I did on the weekend just past are going to linger in voting for a while now too.

I’ve had 3 nominations decided on within 36 hours in the last 2 months without ever going into ā€œin votingā€.

2 - not accepted and 1 - duplicate.

guessing it was the ML.

I’ve never had a nomination be Accepted straight from the queue tho.

Hello and welcome,

Sorry that no one answered your question. I’m going to assume you submitted on November 5th, 2024, not May 11th, 2024, but this info applies to all submissions.

There is no exact timeframe for a decision to be made on a submission, nor are the numbrer of votes needed disclosed. This is what is listed in the Wayfarer FAQ in regards to this:

How many reviews does it take to make a final decision on a Wayspot’s eligibility?

This exact number cannot be disclosed at this time, however, we can say that this depends on the performance of each individual Wayfinder.

It’s not unusual for a submission to not be decided on within a month, and not unusual for it to still be in queue either. Resolution times vary from area to area, with some being resolved in days, weeks, months, even years at times. it really depends on the number of reviewers in your area, and if there aren’t that many, it can take longer for resolution.

Week now. Are you alive @NianticAaron? I’m losing my interest to submit and review, it takes way too much time around where i live. Again. It was so much better when Emily was working.

Although we would all like Emily back ( I hope they are well ) we are unlikely to hear much if anything until whatever it is, is sorted.

My nominations are in queue from the first of December :pensive:.

Same it takes along time where i live as well.

I’m still getting a good deal of rejectable nominations, but who knows how caught up we are in the queues.

Would be nice to know if there is an update to this from staff.

I have also not had any AI auto-accepts within the month of December. Which is strange because I know I’ve nominated at least a couple that would have been easy passes before.

They must have turned it off for…reasons? I guess.

Definitely not on, I had a Church nomination go to the Community, that would be an auto accept, and in game already, now it’s just in voting, no reason for an upgrade, a random rural point of interest, I stumbled upon. I suppose the only benefit of no AI, that I was featured in two of the three Wayfarer Showcase, it’s been ages since I was, most of my nominations are passed by AI

I apologize for asking about this again, but any updates? It have been 15 days and nothing seemed to change & there have not been any updates.

I wonder if they’re doing testing to see if this makes people start reviewing again to get upgrades.

Interesting theory. I hope Niantic clarifies if ML is coming back for approvals or not soon.

I’m for sure waiting updates before resuming, more than a dozen submissions waiting to be sent and not doing any reviews, taking a break like ML bot.

your choice, but if i had wayspots i wanted to submit, i would go ahead and submit them. they certainly can’t get added to the database if they aren’t submitted.

Hello and welcome,

Many of the nominations in queue for review don’t even meet criteria, so you might want to do some reviews; I’ve been rejecting or marking duplicates a good amount right now… Plus, you can earn upgrades to apply to nominations, so I’d also be submitting instead of waiting.

Most of submissions I’m holding on were guaranteed to go through a positive review from the ML due to clear photo without noise, high quality title and description, which seems to have worked pretty well with previous submissions while waiting for community reviews in my area could take a long time, possibly because of low amount of reviewers and the fact that those can come with 4 different languages then potentially having a higher skip ratio.

I have upgrades available but to be honest when used in the past on things I really wanted to be expedited, there was no evidence it boosted reach of the submission.
ML bot was to me a source of motivation.

I’m taking a bet that I’m pretty sure I’ve lost, no update on this topic, so it might be really bad. But even if it comes back in a month or two it will be faster than pushing the send button today.

I don’t mind to spend a bit of my time to review if I get something in return, but right now the satisfying part to me is off.
