Hello,
I think that a fun way to engage with the community, specially during global challenges, could be achieved by publishing heatmaps of contributions pending review.
Per instance, everytime Niantic had a challenge update for the community, an heatmap could be shared as well to assist folks in adjusting their review locations.
Thanks for reading,
Best Regards

Trust me, as a data viz nerd, I am drooling for something like this. I doubt it can happen for this Challenge but who knows what might change under Scopely?

Hello and welcome,
I do like this idea, but I also doubt it can be implemented for this challenge. I think it could be something for future challenges that are like this one, as in we can pick where to review, not have set locations.
I can make these kinds of maps at work, they really dont take very long assuming you have software that can create them! And since theyre a spacial company… I would be absolutely shocked if someone couldn’t knock one up in 30 mins if they wanted to.

Only issue is it’s the weekend, not to mention a holiday weekend, so…
Well yes, they could have done it before the challenge began though

I do not understand the map, what does the colors mean ?
This is not a real map. Do not waste time trying to understand it.

The main concern would be if making one be cheap based on the number of API calls.
Depends how the data is set up tbh - at my workplace it wouldnt cost anything since all our data is already location tagged
Id ve very surprised if a spatial company couldn’t make maps of their data easily
Due to the nature of this challenge being free labour for them, it would likely pay for itself even if there is a cost involved to update every few hours by way of showing people where to focus their review work and which locations are best for review density
