Massive Lag During Reviews

Hello,

I’ve been steadily reviewing since the start of this challenge. Recently I am noticing a massive lag in loading new reviews. I even hit a point where I was told that I’m “all caught up” and “no further reviews”.

Is this normal?

For this challenge, it’s normal. You can change your home and bonus location to other locations to see if there are other countries that have reviews. I don’t believe there are any restrictions on the number of changes you can make during this event.

Okay, thank you. I just changed both and it’s still super laggy.

Have a look at Unsure where to review? Start here!. There’s a list of locations you could chose from that may need some help.

From the start i have been able to do maybe 5 or 6 in a row, before I get a message in eine for now, Thank you very much. As if yesterday, I’m lucky if I can get 3 reviews in half an hour. I am in Germany and Netherlands. I already changed my location three or four times to Poland, Marocco and even with Korea, but one every 10-15 minutes is all I get. I don’t remember it being this bad last year, and if course it will be completely impossible to get the required tires.

Last year I did over 1500 reviews. This time I will have a very very hard time reaching 500…

Hello,

Another issue with this challenge may be that areas where there were a large queue many may be going to those places, and thus the queues are clearing out quickly. The error message you received does mean that the queue was empty at the location you were at, so you would need to change to a location that has a queue still, but we really don’t know where those are, as staff hasn’t said anything, and so we’re left with bouncing around the map.

This isn’t really a lag issue, per se, but more of an issue with us not being told where there’s still a large queue and targeting those areas. Someone recently suggested a heatmap for challenges like this, but I doubt it’ll be put in place this time around.

I have the same problem. Normally, I can do easy 100 reviews in an hour. At this moment during the challenge, I can do only 4 or 5 in an hour, because there are no more reviews. Also the system is very slow.

OK, have moved and reset locations multiple times and waited for it to take effect. The challenge is now effectively unplayable. Is there anything else Niantic can do? If so, please. This is now painful.

Have you tried moving locations? You can change both your home and bonus locations during this challenge.

I have had to move a few times today to find some place with reviews to do. Have you checked out this thread, as many are posting where they are finding things to review from time to time?

All of my Wayfaring activity has been spent on nominations rather than reviews. However, what I can say from the other side of the fence is that all the nominations I have submitted since the challenge began are still in queue. It appears that review demand is outstripping nomination supply and yet the system does not have the ability to react to this by releasing nominations more quickly to meet the increased demand.

If I was a cynical person, I might suggest that, instead of tackling the issue by increasing the supply, the 24-hour review cooldowns are being used as a method of reducing the demand.

Yes, done all of this. Experienced reviewer.

For me too. 15 reviews done. I think to reach Tier 3 the challenge should be expanded to December 2025. Very frustrating. And all the suggestions are just groping in the dark with no result.

We are less than 20k from Global Tier 3. Whilst the individual challenges have been, well… challenging, it’s possible thanks to a thread that can be found in the Global Reviewing Challenge section where people share locations where they have seen plenty of things to review.

It’s a snozzzze fest. Slow and slaps in my face to stop at 30 reviews and tells me I’m done.

I should get my Tier III rewards, now.

At thirty ?? I got those every 3-4 reviews (that already took about an hour)
