Help local community with a problem with Pokestops

Good morning. I’m Pedro, a level 45 Pokémon GO player with the nickname Firefriend12. I am writing to ask you to review a situation, on behalf of my community of players.

Our play area is around the gym ‘Olea Europeae’ at Calle Ramón de Campoamor, Valencia, Spain (39.472137, -0.351762). It is a special location for players in the area, since it is in an area with a very popular gym which in the past hosted EX Raids and several restaurants and places of interest

Over the past few months we have gotten several approved Pokestops in the area, such as ‘Azulejos Carrer Seneca’ (C. Poeta Mas y Ros 11, 46021 Valencia, Spain, 39.471071, -0.350210) or more recently ‘Naranjas Valencianas’ (C de Campoamor 12, 46021 Valencia, Spain, 39.471885, -0.351158)

We are aware about the S2 cells system that Pokémon GO uses, but what really caught our attention was that it is an area with a low density of Pokestops, unlike other nearby areas that have many very close together.

The reason I am writing to you today is to ask you to please review this situation and for these Pokestops to appear. Some of the group members have reduced mobility and it is very important to be able to enjoy the game experience that they have more PokeStops in this area.

I hope it is possible, every time we have contacted you since we started playing more than 8 years ago, you have given us kind and satisfactory answers and we would be very happy if this is the case this time too. I am sending you some photos that illustrate the situation.

Regards,

Pedro

Hey Pedro,

I hope you are well, yesterday I saw in the news that the Comunidad Valencia was hit by a huge storm.

If the Wayspots in the cell are functioning correctly, there is nothing the Wayfarer Team here can do for you. The decision which Wayspots is included in to which game and how dense they do it is solely decided by the game teams themselves. You would need to go to a channel the Pokémon GO Team listens to instead.

The bigger densities you see sometimes disregarding the one per cell rule is either the result of sponsored Pokestops and Gyms, or the result of abuse of Wayfarer, so they are not meant to exist normally.

Maybe the city of Valencia or some company would be interested to place sponsored Pokestops and Gyms in a bigger park… But you would need to reach out to them and ask them to sign up for a sponsorship programme, again to the Pokémon GO channels, not here on the Wayfarer ones.

I appreciate your attention and your good wishes. It’s been a very hard twelve hours in Valencia, my family and loved ones are fine, but unfortunately there are people who have not been so lucky.

I understand what you’re saying. Thank you very much. Could you provide me with some channel, email or means of contact? I haven’t had any luck, so far, with the email support@nianticlabs.com, where they have recommended this link, Request modification or removal of a PokéStop or Gym – Pokémon GO, but it’s to delete pokestops, and it’s not what I’m looking for.

Unfortunately you will be wasting your time and energy in regards to the cell rules and most likely you will end up going around in circles.

There are the pokemon go and niantic help pages on twitter, other than that for requests like this… I don’t think they have a channel for that, because they don’t want to.
There is something for sponsored locations, despite saying it’s suspended, Walmart stores just got recently added as sponsored locations in the US: Sponsored Locations for Business – Niantic
