Help to understand rejected nomination

So i recently nominated this pokestop, its a billboard on an train station. It got rejected and i dont really get why. Would like to get some help to understand why it was rejected

If you can stand back and look just at the picture as if someone else submitted this, ask yourself “what do I see”?

This is not a picture of an information board, but a picture of a fence and some metal plates.

It might well get used as an information board sometimes, but nothing about this indicates that, so the automated system could not pick up anything eligble. Human reviewers would have had the same problem.

Information boards really need information on them (community notices, lost cat postings etc) to be eligible and make for an easy acceptance :slight_smile:

Here’s some examples of accepted community notice boards I’ve done. They go across better when you can see the notices and especially when they’re locally specific

They can be eligible even inside major supermarkets as long as the notices are unique to the local area

For some reason, the ones inside supermarkets often get rejected by the community and need appealing. I find this bizarre since they are better placed and seen by more people than the ones on the roadside.

Be aware that a hoarding that is used for advertisements, even if they are similar to communty information posts, are not eligible as they have no social merit.

I mentioned this because you’d said you were confused why it was rejected, and you’d said you’re not experienced. If you’ve already successfully nominated this kind of item, you already have examples of what good looks like and you could probably tell that the one you shared above is not a strong nomination!
