My recent nomination is rejected by the automatic process and I can’t understand the reason.
The nomination is a local information board situated next to a bus stop in a residential zone that has no pokestops. Since I do a lot of pokestop evaluations I saw that local info boards are a good suggestion and ones in a super bad shape are however accepted as pokestops.
Could you please share your ideas on the possible reasons of this rejection and what should I say in my claim to make it successful?
I can’t immediately see anything particularly wrong about this. The automated system (ML, eMiLy) goes by the photo and the narrative, but although your narrative is short, it should be acceptable.
It’s possible the photo is the problem, as it has too much else that isn’t the actual nomination. I would resubmit with a closer photo as the main one that just shows the information board and it’s roof. The bin is not helping
I don’t think this is a bad nomination, but it may be possible that ML picked up on the car in the background and thought it could see the license plate. I can’t read it from your screenshot, as it does appear blurry, but that could have been an issue. I do agree that a photo that is closer up and with less foreground and background would make for a better main photo.
The municipal acts such as upcoming roadworks, park opening time edit and so on. So it is locally important info and there’s not a single pokestop in that area of the town
What I’m saying is that the license plate, even though I can’t read it from the screenshot, could be an issue. We don’t know how ML handles them, or if it’s readable in the full main photo, so to play it safe, it’s usually best to make sure there aren’t any license plates in a main photo.
Personally, I think it’s better to play it safe than take a possible risk for automatic rejection.
I agree, i was just replying to Eli because i’d hate the OP losing an appeal if the nom was rightly rejected, like you said, we dont know from the provided screenshot, but its a high possibility.
fwiw, i will usually try a resubmit like this before i use an appeal anyway, since we are limited to 2 appeals, each on a 15 day counter before you can use it again. please let us know how it goes.
i think this main photo is much better! not just to get past the “automated process” rejection, but more clearly focused on the point of interest.
