Hi, can someone help with the normination? I had nominated bicycle track/trail but it gets rejected probably by AI where I am reviewing other people submission to upgrade my profile so my submission can go in voting instead sitting in Queue but I saw many submission on jogging track was accepted.
In your main photo, this appears to be indicating the pathway is only for bikes. Is there safe pedestrian access? If there is not, then this is not eligible.
In the supporting photo, you seem to be featuring a sidewalk. Where is the poi you are submitting?
If this symbol is just an indication that bikes are allowed to use the sidewalk, then I would not submit it. That seems like a generic information kind of thing that I would reject as not “Distinct” rather than a marked route that encourages exercise and exploration.
If you are convinced this is an eligible nomination, you should try to get a photo without all the shadows so it is clear what you are submitting. I would probably crop the main photo to square before submitting to put the focus on the symbol and use the existing photo option when submitting. But unless I am missing information, I would not submit this.
Yes, it can be access by pedestrian too. I always use this route for light walking and is definitely safe.
As u mentioned safe or not…i use that symbol as a pokestop as there were no sign board for that. If bicycle trail is not safe then all other pokestop which was located beside road all are not eligible.
If that is the case, then better Pokemon go this game just let people spoofing instead promote everyone go out to play. Once U go out, there is the risk, cross road or walking where the road not only accessible for walking but also other.
The picture I took was at night when I have my daily incense walk. If that is the case, I will snap again photo during day time.
Previously I think I submitted just only the trail but get rejected. Hence this time I purposely take the bicycle symbol as the pokestop point thinking previous get rejected because only show the trail but without a spot for the point but I guess i was wrong. As unfair where those many accepted whatsoever they call trail or track only with the trail picture without any sign board or symbol also.
If there is sign board for it, we wouldn’t just submit other photo and not take the sign board as spot so stupid right? So you suggest rural area or those area without sign board is destiny don’t play Pokemon go as won’t have many pokestop or gym will be available for them is it?
The difference is a designated spot designed for exercise that people go to for that purpose, and simply a place that you can walk or bike. The first is a point of interest. The second is generic and not distinct.
Also, just because you see them as pokestops does not mean they should have been accepted, or that they meet current criteria.
The sign boards with simply a picture of a bike would also get the same assessment from me: not distinct. You can look at Wayspot Appeals and get an idea how many bike route markers are being removed that have much more information than just a picture indicating that bikes may use the lane.
The criteria is not something that I put in place, so please try not to get angry with the messenger.
If you would like to give your location, there are a lot of folks on this forum who are good at looking at Google Maps for candidates that are likely to be accepted.
Hi, would appreciate if you read my enquiry. I request for help as when I was reviewing other people submission, those get accepted and hence I am asking here. Same like previous I question about the back tuk gong where all other was commonly used or accepted but why mine been rejected. I would suggest AI or human when reject, please provide a valid reason so we will learn from it and also to be fair.
Ok, case close. So bicycle trail is not eligible. Please enhance the system to refrain to able to select those not eligible item. It might help when people submit and not able to choose the option of the item means those item is not eligible.
I will remove and stop nominating as what we wanna get is basically all not eligible by logic. And just get information from you all other had been removed as well.
Is ok, I guess our country is not bound to enjoy the game as much as foreign country where there is alot of eligible pokestop criteria in their area
I mentioned it as bicycle trail/track. No link submitted as Pokemon go nomination only place it in google map.
If bicycle trail not eligible then I will remove it and try to submit again as pedestrian or jogging trail as title. If get rejected as well then I just give up the nomination. Will reject all other submission regarding trail or track to make it fair… Just feel the game is not friendly user for less population or for some countries as not promoting it by giving more but restricted and just get to know, alot pokestop get removed
You mentioned in your former post, that you’re a back coming user.
Since, I believe, April this year (but please don’t nail me on this) there’s a new criteria clarification catalogue. Here in the forum it has it’s own category.
Trails, what kind ever, are one of the most hardest supplies (ask the netherlands users on here). We discuss in regular here even the material of the marker for the trail (to give you an idea how crazy it is).
Yes hiking, bikeing, jogging, jumping … all fullfill the exercise requirement, but the given rules, at this time, have to be followed
For your bike trail it would be necessary, that it is an official trail - you’ve to back up that.
As Cyndie mentioned only infrastructure for safe bikeing isn’t allowed (now) as per criteria. But if that is trail no567 “around the church” and you can back up that, we probablly have a case.
I hope I’m understandable
Ic…thanks. But still, my question still the same. I am ok if is fair and all other same criteria been rejected. I can accept with valid reason. What I cannot accept the most like my question is about other people submission for trail been accepted and in the voting / review Q but mine get rejected. I not sure is AI rejection or is human rejection.
I have few submission on the neighbourhood is related sign board also get rejected too …that’s what makes me frustrating and angry.
Is it possible the rejection mentioned the rejection with valid reason? Can the company do something or improve their AI?
Hey there! While bicycle trails can be eligible, there are a few things going on here that may help your nomination be more successful.
One, I would look for a sign for the bicycle trail instead on the marker on the ground. If there isn’t on, but it is a named trail, I would include links to evidence of the trail and its name in the Supporting Info section of your nomination. If you’re not sure how to do that, just say the word and I can talk you through it.
Two, like a few others have said, I would try to take a clearer picture when there is more daylight and there aren’t so many shadows. This is the important part of getting it through ML review and into the voting queue. A good picture that has a balance of grass and sidewalk on a clear day combined with a good description may not be auto-rejected by the machine learning and head to the regular voting queue.
Three, Your description should highlight the name of the trail, and what riders will be able to see on the trail (what makes it interesting). The marker doesn’t need to be visually that interesting if there is proof that the trail is an official trail (it is or the city wouldn’t have spent time and money to mark it as such on the sidewalk, so it’s just a mater of finding the official name of the trail). Does it go between two interesting places? Is there anything people who want to ride on it should know? All of that info will help.
I hope this is helpful. If I can clarify anything please just let me know.
