Here’s some things to note: a shopping center sign can be eligible, and this is noted in the Criteria Clarification Collection. I’ve submitted a few of them, as they can be a general place marker for the entire shopping center, even if it has generic businesses in it, like a chain pet store.
As for the waxing salon, are you sure it’s a stop? It’s possible that it may be a Power Spot for Max battles, as many of these were imported from a 3rd party database. Some are unused Wayspots, but others are imports.
If the waxing salon is in fact a Wayspot and is a stop in PoGo, then it most likely falls in a grey area to some reviewers. Personally, I wouldn’t accept a waxing salon, as I don’t see it as a great place to be social/exercise at/explore. It may be hard to get removed though, as it may not meet any of the current removal criteria.
As for the gym at your child’s daycare, you can request that it be removed, since any place that has a primary function in terms of taking care of children is an inelgible location. When requestion removal, you’ll want to choose School (K-12) as your reason, and provide some additional info in the comment box. I like to take a current photo to show that it is in fact an inelgibile location, upload it to a 3rd party image upload service, and share the link in the comment box with a short note.
