I don’t understand. Many players in our area want to play Pokémon Go properly, and I’m one of them. But all the Pokéstops nominated here in our area are not given a chance to be approved. I hope we can be given a proper reason why our nominated Pokéstops are rejected so that we can play the game more smoothly.
Welcome to the forum @edwyn0617
You can view your rejection reasons by going to your contributions tab and tapping on the rejected submission. Underneath the title of the nomination, you should see a small heading that says “Rejection Criteria”, and under this heading there should be up to two reasons displayed.
You are welcome to share screenshots of your rejected nominations in the Nomination Support section of the forum. We can help advise on why they may not be eligible, or what could be improved if they are eligible.
Just remember that a wayspot needs to be a great place to socialise, a great place to exercise, or a great place to explore, and it also needs to not meet any of the rejection criteria.
Hello,
It not easy to spot where to post in this forum.
I’ll move this to Nomination Support so we can try to help.
Are they rejected within 24 hours with an email that says our team? This would mean they were being auto rejected.
Are you able to post your nomination here? Was there a Rejection reason listed?
Not all submissions are eligible, and it has to go through the 3 prong test.
- Exploration.
- Exercise.
- Socialise.
It doesn’t have to meet all 3, but if your nomination doesn’t meet any of the 3, it may be hard to be convinced without some convincing evidence.
If you are able to share with us your nomination, including images, it may help us appreciate your nomination better.
Yes it’s rejected in 24 hours
This message is to appeal for your support in helping our area get a Pokéstop. Please help us get the nominated spot approved so it becomes a Pokéstop. Currently, there are no approved Pokéstops in our area. This makes it difficult for those who want to play Pokémon Go to continue enjoying the game. We hope you can assist us. Thank you.
Hi @edwyn0617,
I know nominations can be frustrating, but the Challenges thread is for large scale events discussions. I’m going to move your conversation to the Nomination Support area. There are many folks around to help, best idea is to share some of your nominations. And where you are located, if you want.

This was may new nomination, my location is
2MWF+CW5 Sitio Centro, Tayabas, 4327 Quezon. I hope you’ll help.
You need to wait until the screenshot finishes uploading. Please try again.
We can’t vote on this nomination from the forum. We can simply offer advice.
The thing that I want to address is fair treatment when it comes to other nominated spots. Some player didn’t consider those place and rejected without reading. I just hoping to get help from Niantic community.
Please try uploading your screenshot again. Be sure to wait for the picture to show before hitting enter. This is what we see.
this was my nominated spot if there’s a problem or improvement you can see just inform me right away.
Magandang araw!
The eligibility criteria pertains to places that are great for exercise, socialization, and exploration.
Your description pertains to the business that can be conducted through barangay halls, which may not resonate towards eligibility. For example, while socialization may happen when conducting these businesses, it is not the activity that this place is for.
You may also want to remove in-game references and focus on the real world merits of the building. The leeway for these buildings is that they may act as the landmark for the community and may provide space/rooms wherein the community can conduct celebratory social meetings which gives it precedent towards meeting eligibility.
Here is where you can access and edit your nominations btw
I also highlight this rejection criteria
Influencing reviewers
Nominations with content that tries to sway and influence votes, such as dropping a codename or codewords in the title, description, or photo. Or making voting requests in the title, description, supporting information, or photo.
Okay this is from your email, instead of from your contributions page, but this will work. Street view shows the Hall, so that will help a lot (14.04602166459846, 121.67487221859501) I think your description is fine, since it describes the history of the building, tells what it is used for, and explains that it is used for social events. But your supporting statement is not good.
If your nomination has not gone into voting yet, you should edit your supporting statement. What this or you will do for Pokemon Go has nothing to do with whether this should be a Wayspot. I know the prompt asks you why it would be a good Pokestop, but that is badly worded. Instead, your supporting statement should explain which of the three criteria of exercise, exploration, and being social this meets, and give any extra information the reviewers may need to be able to approve this nomination. This one may not need any extra information about how to confirm it is where you say it is since it can be seen on Street View. You could include a link about the building in this section if you have one.
You said you had one rejected without reading earlier. If the nomination is rejected for “Wayfarer criteria” about 20-24 hours after you submit it, and the rejection letter is from “our team”, we think that usually means that Niantic’s ML (machine learning ai) model has rejected it. In those cases, I usually will try again, doing my best to get a photo more clearly focused on the thing I am nominating. If it is still rejected, and I am certain it is eligible, then I will appeal the rejection. But we only have 2 appeals, each on a 20 day counter before we can use them again, so I usually try to resubmit before I appeal.
Hopefully someone from your part of the world can give you more advice about this nomination, but I am hopeful for this one with the photo and description you have. But do change that supporting.
(lol if i had seen @paulingzubat typing, I wouldn’t have hit enter. you are in great hands now!)
I done editing the description and make it proper needed in criteria.
Two hands are better than one! And more perspective!
so the supporting description must indicate if it is for exercise, exploration or social right?
