Help with submissions

Hey fellow wayfarers — just wanted to share a quick update. I’ve been submitting a lot lately at a public park near my daily route. It’s been a mix of hits and misses, but I’ve mostly been focusing on frisbee golf tees scattered throughout the area. At first, I worried the submissions might interfere with the recreational players, but after observing the layout more closely, I realized the park has a main walking path that cuts right through the center and even connects to the next park. Because of that, I don’t think my submissions are disrupting gameplay or the space’s intended use.

That said, I’d love to hear your thoughts — should I keep trying with these kinds of POIs, or is it better to move on and aim for different types of spots?

I dont see reason why u shouldnt try. As long you can get there to take photo in person without trespassing.

Do not submit individual Disc Golf tees or baskets!

They will be reported and the game locations will be removed and you could get in trouble.

Very bad advice which goes against the clarification!

thank you i will look for other submissions. i appreciate your help.

what happens to the spots that got approved. im sorry i didnt know

I don’t know what the best way to proceed is when you find out that you have submitted something that you shouldn’t have submitted and it has been accepted. Maybe use the Wayspot removals form at the top of the forum here? Hopefully an ambassador will be able to point you how to proceed.

I am sorry, i was under impression that golf course itself is still eligible. I admit my mistake about the holes

I noticed someone had used a map to mark out some potential spots at a nearby park on another post I made. Just curious—was that an app some of you Wayfarers use, or was that just someone being tech-savvy with Google Maps?

U probably mean iitc..its a map for ingress. But with ingress splitting from wayfarer . I am not sure what to say

probably wayfarer planner for iitc - google “pogo tools” and it will have a readme to install it. then planner goes on top of that. it is easier to get help on these tools if you join the Wayfarer Discussion Discord group. the link for that was shared the other day so i think i can post that here:

the other kind of links are not allowed on the forum as having potential to be harmful

and as was said, we don’t know if this will continue to be useful after the split of ingress from scopely is complete

I’m already a member of the Wayfarer Discord server, and I’m currently trying a different approach to submitting stops—just planning things out before moving forward. So I shouldn’t search out that PoGo tool since Ingress and Niantic are splitting?

i didn’t say that. i am using it and can’t imagine trying to do wayfarer without it. i just didn’t want you to go to a lot of trouble installing a tool that might not work soon and that i can’t help you with. they have to help me with this stuff on the discord server, so they can help anyone.

Is this a web browser add-on or something you use on your mobile phone?

lol i am sorry but all i know is that it lets me put pins on the map. i don’t understand your question enough to answer.

Yes?

I thought more than one for a golf course was a bad idea.

It is. My yes was to your question about browser or mobile. “Yes” meaning you can use it on both, though it is not a “mobile” app, it can be used on mobile.
