A trail marker itself need not be an interesting object but its function on the trail should be unique to that location
So it need to have a function on the trail.
And not about the trail it self but unique function to that location.
What kind of functions, Directions? How far you are on the trail? Map?
Seems it have everything where the 
are standing up.
It should have be as easy as submitting a playground.
