This is a hotel. It has a meeting room. Used once a week by a local church.
The supporting description calls it a Religious Gathering Structure. But the hotel is a hotel that has one room that is used. So it is not a church but a hotel.
But it is a gathering space for some community members.
But to me the nomination I am reviewing seems all mixed up. And the supporting photo does not show anything other than a sign for hotel guests to leave their access tags. The supporting photo fails everything.
Anyone have a view on how to approach please… Thank you
I find it hard to believe that the only thing that happens at this motel meeting room is a church service once a week. These typically can be rented out by almost anyone looking to hold an event. I even found this photo on their website of their sign advertising different events that can be held.
The church is listed on Google Maps, and their website does seem to note this is a temp location. They note that only mass is here on Sundays, but during the week, they are at 104 Tivendale Road in Officer, and are looking to develop that site this year; it’s even the main address listed on their website.
So, it seems the meeting room is a temp location for their services, and once they develop the Tivendale Road location, it seems they may be moving out. So the description does seem inaccurate, as the focus should be on the meeting room being a place to host different events, not solely one.

I guess it’s valid as an event space.
Around here, startup churches often hold their Sunday services in public schools. That doesn’t make it OK to put a wayspot on the school cafeteria.
So IMO the church is a red herring (false focus).
I don’t think I’d like a Wayspot on every hotel meeting room. To most people’s minds, they’re all the same - generic.
But this one is a lodge, so a little different. More substantial.

Trying to submit it as a church, I’d flag it as “non permanent” or “seasonal”.
Now… if they try to submit the same place as an event space… I’d need to see the submission.
