How can I actually get ANY nominations accepted?

Hi
I have submitted a few wayspot nominations which all have been automatically rejected, with no given reason. I have copied the same format as similar stops in the local (and distant) area - I am not sure if other similar locations are acceptable, why new nominations are not. Is there a “magic formula” that allows the automated process to “see” a nomination? As it seems that everything I nominate is automatically rejected, almost as if by default.

Anyway i am not talking about your particular nomination, but sometimes we need to appeal AI rejection. Usually because we believe its eligible but we are unable to retake photo to resubmit due to circumstances.

If you believe your survey marker is located at noteworthy location, you can resubmit or appeal

But i wont bet on this one.

I’m glad to see one of these survey state markers be rejected by eMiLy. This is eMiLy doing what it is supposed to do.

I appreciate it is confusing. Intuitively you think that what you see on the map should be eligible. However some of the points on the map are from a few years ago and criteria have been reviewed and changed. But the older wayspots are often not removed.

Hence the advice is always see if what you are proposing fits current criteria. and as you can see there has been a change in relation to these.

Thanks. It’s not just survey markers, but other things I have nominated (eg a health clinic, business signs etc) - with no clear explanation of what is different between my nominations and other people’s that are already pokestops. It would be helpful if the automatic rejection actually gave a reason

A business sign may not be eligible on its own, unless it is of some artistic merit. Otherwise, the business may possibly be eligibile, as long as it isn’t a generic business, such as a grocery store.

A health clinic is a little harder to judge, as I don’t know if you are referring to a place where one may go for a medical appointment or to seek medical treatment, or a fitness center/studio, where one can get some exercise. A place you go to get medical treatment is typically seen as a generic business, but there may be other POIs inside that are eligible, such as art.

I would recommend reviewing the Wayspot Criteria, to understand better what may or may not be eligible. You may also want to check out the Criteria Clarification Collection, as it covers some of the most commonly discussed POIs. There are sections there for places like Generic/Non-Generic Businesses that may be helpful.

And yes, don’t assume that since there are Wayspot for certain POIs in-game that they are eligible, as eligibility does change from time to time.
