I’m really at a loss as to why my submission has been rejected. This is not a “generic business”. It is a numbered individual survey mark, the same as many that have been accepted all over the place in the game. Half my postcards in my list are from NSW state survey markers.
There’s no stops super close by, it’s on a regular walkway in the area, it’s public, safe to access, I really don’t know how I can make it a better submission…
It’s hard to judge by things already on the map! Sometimes criteria changes over time. In this case, Niantic recently put together some clarifications about markers:
Hope this helps! And come back with more questions.
The markers that are stops in my local area are just standard markers. They’re not on hills or on tourist walkways, or anything remotely like that. They’re on the sides of footpaths, next to kerbs, nothing remarkable about them, other than that they are uniquely numbered and kinda cool to go and find. They fill a gap in a suburban landscape that’s full of pretty much just houses and pedestrian walkways.
I know it’s frustrating to find eligible wayspots in some areas. And I can’t tell how long the previous survey markers were in the games. Let me ask you - what did your nomination look like? Did you include a good description of the survey marker? What about supporting information on how it meets eligibility (great place to explore, be social, or exercise)?
