How can I check the progress of my Wayspot application submitted in September 2024?

Dear community friends:
I submitted my application for Wayspot in September 2024 and received an email notification that the application was completed. Log in to the management screen through the hyperlink in the email notification sent by notices@wayfarer.nianticlabs.com , no application information or progress is displayed. How should I deal with it? The requested coordinates are (24992800, 121535473)

If you submitted through Ingress or Pokemon Go, your contributions and their status should be on your contributions page. You can access that through the link at the top here, and should be seeing something like this there at Niantic Wayfarer

Unless you submitted through the Wayfarer App which we have been instructed not to use. In that case, I don’t believe the contribution will show up here. And most likely will not show up in any Niantic game. I don’t know if you get an email for contributions submitted through the app.

I can’t figure out where there decimal points go in these coordinates. What part of the world are you in?

It (the Wayfarer app) was never released from beta if I understand correctly, and was only meant to be used by developers and ambassadors. It is supposed to be going away.

Sometimes Wayspots submitted through the app will appear in the games, but usually, they won’t. And now if you try to submit through Ingress or Pokemon Go, that submission will be a duplicate of this Wayspot.

We were asked not to use the app back in November 2022

I agree that “Wayfarer App” is a terrible name for it if they do not want us to use it to do Wayfarer things with it.

The decision not to move forward with the app was announced in the Novemeber 2023 AMA

We can only go +/- 90 degrees north/south, so it looks like 24.992800 North. If we use the same precision for the longitude it’s 121.535473 East. That looks like Taiwan.

Have you checked to see if your game accounts are connected to your Niantic ID? This could be why you’re not seeing the submission in Contribution Management, as you do have to have your game account(s) connected to Niantic ID, which is the login that Wayfarer uses. Here’s the link to log into Niantic ID:

Keep in mind that you do have to use the same Apple ID, Facebook, and/or Google account that you use with the games when logging into Niantic ID. You cannot use another login method other than these 3 for the games at this time if you wish to submit to Wayfarer.
