How do we improve wayfarer where wayfarer activity is low?

These weren’t professional quality images. At all. Not worth googling for something like that, you’d just take your own

That’s the kind of thing that could easily be built in to wayfarer

I tend to post my photo to Google maps as well

Yup though worse in places where they can’t read the English rules

It’s both private property and a generic biz seems quite clear to rejected

You have been told that many experienced wayfinders in this forum would accept a hostel. So if hostels are being rejected in your country, either the niminations are poorly written or the reviewers in your country don’t agree that they are good POI.

We can help you improve the nominations.

But please stop blaming Niantic for your own locals not accepting nominations outside of resorts. Local reviewers should know the value of local places.

And if there aren’t enough local reviewers, peoole here have already said they are willing to change their bonus location to Morocco to help.

People here are ready to help your country. Please don’t ruin that with negativity.

I do wonder actually if the resorts are getting waypoints due to tourists submitting them? Ie not locals at all, if the lack of submitters and reviewers is such an issue?

You accuse me off negative for just expressing my lived experience…

Why are you so offended by someone having a different experience to you?

100% tourist no locals can afford the hotel

There probably 4 mosques in that town a local would add them first

Yeah, I recall a story from someone who had gone to Morocco on holiday. They really wanted to explore the whole city, so they stayed at a small hotel quite central, and just walked around and enjoyed eveything, all the food and sights. One day they went on a tour out to the mountains, where other tourists were on the same bus as them, and they overheard them talking. The other tourists hadn’t left the resort all week except for the trip, and had been eating at the McDonalds inside the resort :nauseated_face::laughing:

Where’s my sad reaction yup so many get trapped like that and the hotels love it, nothing like a captive customer :joy:

Lololol. You should really stop and get to know the people in this community before you start making accusations like that. I have been championing people with different life experiences for years. I’ve seen you accuse people who live across the globe of being American. I’ve seen you accuse a middle-aged person of being “young.” You’re coming in with hot takes that are not grounded in reality. Yet we are still trying to help you because that’s what we do for everyone, regardless of who they are or where they live.

To me you seem to only be interested in America norms and I’ve never directly said anyone it’s gringos just that they are using that value system as the norm for the world

You know nothing about me I could be 80 and middle age would be young.

How many people are not in 1st world? How many are in Africa?

I’m finding it very very American here with the rules being set by usa brand PC culture and not accepting of things outside that

You can’t say your helping by just enforcement of that. It’s time to really accept the world

Let’s drop the (non-)Americanness and discuss how to point out eligibility in each object with differing perspectives. Speaking from a non-American.

If it was rejected, seek out points to improve. Some want points conveyed explicitly in the nomination, those reviewers are why improvements are necessary. And show the interesting bits the reviewer might have overlooked for future references.

This comment is further proof that you are literally making up stories about me in your own head. Please cite examples where i, SeaprincessHNB, have enforced “American rules” with you.

I do think the people here want to help, regardless of how people have read each other’s tone (which is so hard online)

Completely agree with this one. This is already what people do with “bonus jumping”, all that’s left is to instutionalize it and support it.

Keeping positive…

List some of of the great changes that Niantic have implemented similar to what @AliceWonder1511 has suggested, you and @frealafgb have suggested that, @seaprincesshnb said she spoke about and countless others talk about day in and day out over and over, please

ML has proven to be a huge benefit to many around the world who were struggling to get things accepted. We know that ML can accept things within 22 hours in places where it used to take well over a year.

Does the ML model work perfectly? No. But we have seen it improve as more nominations are fed into it. It will continue to improve over time.

Have we seen it improve quality?

Definitely Emily has sped up the process. I still see ineligible things on the map, appearing on the map daily and Niantic flat out refusing to deal with them.

Show me that concrete list of things that Niantic have actually done since Wayfarer started. Not just yours or my opinion on what something is and how it may work and what it is potentially doing and what Niantic say it is doing in and how amazing it will be in the future as we work towards a better goal blah blah blah

I’m not sure I understand your question? I’m giving a suggestion.
