How long does a Waypoint reviewing take on average?

I’m just curious what others Waypoints has taken to be accepted/rejected. Then I can just calculate the average and see

Really depends on the area. There are too many factors that go in to it.

If I go for my entire Wayfarer career I’ve had as little as 22 hours and 35 months (not including the 2 years we could not submit anything).

I think most would say now that 30 to 60 days, most should get relolved. I’ve rarely had anything last longer than that recently.

I live in the Netherlands in a pretty rural area and started nominating waypoints for the first time in the beginning of this year. With almost 100 nominations now my average time of wayspot decision is about 4 to 6 days. But recently I have also had one accepted in 3 hours. But also some long cases for me which took 3 months maximum. But this does indeed depend on your area

In the past 1 year, i would say about 3-4 months. After 4 months usually niantic take over and got resolved fast. But now, with backlog gone, some of my latest nomination got approved within a week… again, this might vary depends on location

Like others have noted, there’s no set timeframe, as it depends on the number of reviewers in your area, nor is there a known number of votes needed. This is listed in the Wayfarer FAQ:

How many reviews does it take to make a final decision on a Wayspot’s eligibility?

This exact number cannot be disclosed at this time, however, we can say that this depends on the performance of each individual Wayfinder.
