I’m super new to nominating POI. I just wanted to know that much time does it take for nomination to move ahead from “in queue”.
I submitted a pokestop in Pokémon go in an area which has a few scattered pokestop. One might say it is in dire need of pokestops.
I nominated an indoor sports arena and I thing it goes along with eligibility criteria. So I just wanted to know how much time is this going to take
Welcome to the forum!
We can’t give you a specific time on this. It depends on how much has been submitted in the same area and how many reviewers are active. Niantic has an ML (machine learning ai) filter that seems to kick in at around 20-24 hours after you have submitted it. It can reject, send it to in house review, leave it for community review, or until recently could accept, but accepting seems to be paused for now. But after that, it could be hours or weeks, or possibly months. You can find other explorers in your area and ask around.
If the nomination is taking too long for your liking to get a decision, you can review to earn an upgrade. That will send it to a wider review pool.
If you are reviewing to earn upgrades, check your settings to be sure that Automatically Apply Upgrades is OFF. The default used to be to ON, but I think they have recently changed this. There were a lot of upgrades being used on nominations people did not want to upgrade.
I think I might have start doing reviews . The area I live has only 1 player that is me. So there are no other contributors or contributions. And as for reviewers I don’t know about that traffic so I think I have to go for upgrade.
Since my area was so barren I thought it would get accepted right away.
Your definition of right away and Wayfarers definition of right away arent the same, a rural area can get priority, but even then “right away” can be weeks.
fair
though i live in rural area this is taking time
