How to get a waystop accepted

This one is actually built like a house then a normal chip stand, they also have seating as well inside the garage and outside of the garage

Gigi’s is also a permanent place as well

You seem to be under the impression that if the place exists then it should be acceptable. You need to accept that is not the case.

As @BlameJamal stated above (2nd reply) that it must meet at least one of the criteria to even be possible to be eligible, there is then several more criteria that will cause it to be rejected even then.

Even if they stick a couple of chairs out the front it still doesn’t make it " A great place to be social"

Would other people pass other Chip Stands to go to this one and if so, why? Has it won awards? Does it hold events?

I don’t think if there was a pokestop at the garage you would be able to reach it whilst on your home wifi. It all depends on the distance you can go on that wifi. You can show me in the direct message we have to prevent showing your home if you like.

I have a field beside me but it won’t accept it as a waystop I understand stand that the row of trees that are across from can’t be accepted but they won’t tell me why the field beside me can’t.

I have tried to get the field beside me accepted but it was declined and did not tell me how to fix it to get it accepted can you tell me how I can get it accepted it is not apart of my property and it has a burnt basement on it as well

Fields like this are really hard to call permanent and distinct, because there’s no focal point to the photo that makes it clear you’re nominating this field here and not that field over there. In addition, it looks like you may be taking the photo from inside, behind a screen, which is making it blurrier.

A photo like this should be taken from outside, and it’s best to have some sort of focal point like a sign or something that indicates the field specifically.

You’ll also need to be able to explain why this is a great place to socialize, exercise or explore, to justify the nomination.

I’ve put that the community walks through as well as rides their quads through to practice and in the winter they drive their snowmachines through it and that everyone uses it and it was still declined

Again, the photo quality would be a strong reason to decline in this case, as well as the lack of a focal point to anchor the submission and make it clear which field is being discussed.

The fact that the community walks through a field doesn’t make that field a point of interest, inherently. The snowmachines and quads, perhaps moreso, but Wayfarer is designed for areas a pedestrian might have a reason to visit to socialize, explore or exercise.

I should let you know that they are the same field just different parts of it and thanks for letting me know what to do to improve it,there is a basement on the property would that be a vocal point?

Is the basement private property? That’d be a reason not to nominate it.

When I talk about focal points, I mean things that denote a location as being a discreet thing, that you can put in the main photo so someone knows they’re at the right place. For example, there’s a park out by me that doesn’t have signage naming the park. It’s just this strip of greenspace with a walking path and some benches. It looks like this:

When I nominated it, I didn’t use that as my photo, though. I used this:

And when I wrote my nomination, I was explicit in my supporting info that I wasn’t nominating a generic bench, but using this image to represent the greater park which didn’t have a sign.

A broad wide field with absolutely no signage could be anywhere in the world. You want your photo to help make it clear that it’s this field. What landmarks can you use for that?

The basement is not a private property it has not been owned in years I think it was burnt when I moved to Gogama three years ago

I also have a row of trees right across from me but they told me that it was “natural feature" and that it could not be accepted but I have seen others like been accepted and it trees was not on private property at al

On the field there is also a pile of stone bricks could I possibly use that as well as a landmark?

Hi there! I can see that you are struggling and frustrated. Please read up on Wayspot criteria before you try to submit anything else https://niantic.helpshift.com/hc/en/21-wayfarer/section/166-wayspot-criteria/?l=en&p=web

A random spot somewhere is not acceptable.

Acceptance Criteria

Nominations and edit submissions must meet all of the following acceptance criteria:

  1. Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria
  • A great place for exploration
  • A great place for exercise
  • A great place to be social with others
  1. Must be a permanent physical, tangible, and identifiable place or object, or object that placemarks an area
  2. Must be safe and publicly accessible by pedestrians (indoor or outdoor)
  3. Must contain accurate information in the title, description, and photo

And this other post may help you, too:

If you have a new point of interest that you think may fit criteria, please start a new topic to discuss it in Nomination Support Your questions may get lost adding to an already solved topic.

I hope we can help.

Even if someone hasn’t been living in a property that is zoned as single family private residential property, SFPRP for short, doesn’t mean it still isn’t SFPRP. It’s the zoning of the property that’s important, not whether there is someone living there.

A house that is for sale and is zoned as SFPRP is still an ineligible location, even if there is something on the property that may meet criteria.

If seems that you may be in an area that has a low-density of Wayspots, too, and this thread may be helpful in finding POIs to possibly nominate: Tips for Rural Nominators

Well, will it still count as a private property if the house is burnt down and none has lived there years it’s just a basement and would a pile of brick off to the side count as well as a focal point

That doesn’t make for a good focal point. It’s just rubble.

Here is the whole picture the school is across from it not near it and on it off to the side is a pile of Bricks and in the second picture in the corner by the road you can sorta see the basement

Unfortunately, there’s nothing here that can be used as a focal point for this field. Not everything will have a focal point, and not everything is eligible. This just looks like a empty field and nothing else, which really doesn’t make for an interesting POI.
