What do i do to get a waytop accepted,i have tried to get a corner store and a garage accepted but they have been rejected,

Please keep this in mind when nominating Wayspots:
A nomination should meet at least one of these to be eligible:
- A great place for exploration
- Culturally significant: historic plaques, statues, public art
- Unique local spots: community centers, libraries, museums
- Visually interesting or educational
- A great place for exercise
- Encourages movement and physical activity
- Parks, public trails, outdoor gyms, athletic fields
- A great place to be social
- Fosters social interaction or gatherings
- Public gathering spaces, popular local spots, places with group seating or games

How do any of these locations fit into any of the eligibility categories that @BlameJamal has posted above?
And you also need to check your nominations against the Rejection Criteria even if they appear to meet one of those eligibility criteria.

I wonder if you saw some places like these as Powerspots?
If you did then those are from an imported database and are not the sort of places suitable for wayfarer.
That will feel disappointing .
I presume you would like to add places near here. If you feel comfortable can you share the area that you would like help with and we will see if we can help.
If you post the GPS Co-ords for the area people will take a look at the maps and suggest better suited nominations.
i have not seen these pics as a powerspot, i am trying to get them accepted as a pokestop so that i may have one near me to use
Unfortunately “I want a stop near me” is not criteria…
To go through them…
Gas Station: You go there when you need gas. It is not a place primarily to Socialize, Exercise or Explore.
Corner Store: Unless you can prove that this store sells something you can’t get elsewhere then nobody will pass similar stores to get to this one.

Would saying that the garage was also a bus stop help to make it a waystop and saying that the store has an atm,Purolator as well as a sears help
Unfortunately No,
Remember Socialise, Exercise, Explore. And these must be a primary use of the wayspot, no saying that “you and a mate (socialise) run to the gas station (exercise) to see (explore) what they are selling” 
Bus Stop: You might meet someone there and socialise but its primary function is to mark where the bus will stop and the saame goes for the others.
As I said earlier, post the towns location (ideally longitude / latitude) and people will take a look for you. You don’t need to put it at your home address, just the general area.
You do have to be aware that unfortunately some areas just have no suitable waypoints and in those cases you have to accept that, maybe play when you travel etc but the majority of times people here will find you suitable nominations.

I know there have been a few around where I live that has been accepted as a waystop but not beside me though and that is what I am trying to do,and thank you for making clear for me to make a nomination,I do have trouble figuring out the whole thing
Before you submit, put yourself in reviewer point of view. Would you accept it if someone else submit it? Is it great place to explore/exercise/socialize? If you yourself wont approve it, i wont submit it

What places do you have near you that you would go to sit down and spend time at chatting with others?
Do you have a specified walking trail nearby that has signs for you to follow.
Any parks or green spaces you might go to relax or exercise?
Is yours a rural community or a suburban one.

Hey, I often like this as a question. But it really only works if the person understands Wayfarer criteria. I think we’ve got a really new person who needs to get a good grasp on criteria before this would make an impact on them.

Would say a permanent chip stand be a good waystop by chance one finally opened up in gogama
I don’t know what that is.
A chip stand would just be a place to grab food and leave, right? I don’t think that would meet any of the criteria of a great place for exercise, exploration, or being social. Unless there is something very significant about this stand.
Usually U need seating area for people to socialize. Normal chip stand usually dont have it. U need to emphasize how this chip stand is a great place to socialize
It may depend on the area. For example, the chip stands I’ve seen in Ontario often have seating areas, and the ones that are both permanent and popular are often accepted as wayspots.
It might be hard to judge whether it’s popular and permanent if it only just “finally opened”, so there is that.
