I’ve just returned to working in-office and I’d like to have a poke stop accessible to my coworkers and I, but the nomination I’ve submitted for this keeps getting rejected. Any tips?

I’ve tried to change the description and even used alternate views of the building, but all to no avail.

Wayspot nominations need to be a great place to socialise, a great place to exercise, or a great place to explore. A generic office building doesn’t typically fulfil any of these criteria, and so that’s why your nomination is getting rejected for “wayfarer criteria” (which is typically the Machine Learning automatically rejecting your nomination because it doesn’t think it meets any criteria).
Unfortunately, not all areas are created equally, and whilst I’ve had a quick look on Google Maps, I’m not seeing anything else that would be a better submission. If there was some sort of gazebo outside for workers to socialise in during breaks, that would work, but I don’t see anything like that. Maybe another pair of eyes can find something that I couldn’t.
One final note: “Needs a poke stop” is an irrelevant statement for your supporting text. You’re submitting a wayspot for Niantic’s database, not a Pokéstop specifically. Your supporting text is meant to focus on how the nomination is a great place to socialise, exercise or explore, and to provide additional context or evidence supporting your nomination.

Right after I posted for your help I saw other post replies indicating not to include Niantic game references so I will try that again. Please post any comments on pictures that you may want to add. Thanks in advance!
Like hankwolfman said, the “Wayfarer criteria” reason indicates that this is being rejected by Niantic’s ML (machine learing ai) model. The email will say “our team” instead of the community. So you are not even getting this into the pool to be voted on by other explorers.
I don’t see how this business park meets any of this criteria from Niantic Wayfarer
Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria
- A great place for exploration
- A great place for exercise
- A great place to be social with others
I am glad you have found the forum, and welcome, but some things are just not going to be accepted, no matter how you present them.
A lot of companies will have some significant art inside. You could submit something like that. Or if there is more of a defined gathering space that just a random picnic table set outdoors, you could try that.
Looking into the business listed there though, I don’t quite understand what you do. Does this business meet criteria stated above? Is this an event space? About GSI Events | Greater Spokane Inc.
